This list has been added to the site because it is important to know who out there is ripping you off. If you buy Chinese wood you are being raped and that's a fact. The following is based entirely on hearsay, so if anything is incorrect I appologize in advance. I want this to be as accurate as possible. The following scumbag companies use at least some Chinese wood. (Baker, Birdhouse, Hookups (but what chump would ride a Hookups in the first place) The Firm, Toy Machine, Foundation, DeathBox the rip off not the OG, Flip the OG Deathbox fuck them, Girl, Chocolate, Consolidated, Bootleg, World, Blind, Enjoy(?) and Royal and Ruckus trucks as well) When I find out more I will post them. If they stop using Chinese wood I will remove them. Until then they suck. Check "What's New" section for more "Red" information.

Since I can remember skateboarding has always viewed itself as a relatively liberal, live and let live, culture. I feel that in America, where our individual freedoms are protected wisely by our Constitution, this is the way is supposed to be. As skateboarders constantly coming into conflict with authority, liberalism is an easy mindset to embrace. That is "liberalism" with a small "l". Not "Liberalism" as it means to socialist, politically correct, "government knows better than you" Democrates of today. Do you realize that California, a state obviously in the stranglehold of the far left Democrat Party, there is a manditory helmet law. Why is this? Simply put, the Socialists that Transworld, Skateboarder, Thrasher, and Slap blindly follow, because it is "politically correct" and "cool", think they know more that you do. You are idiots and these elite pricks think they and their overly intrusive laws can help protect you from yourself. Rather than protect you from the terrorists and the 10,000 illegal aliens, I mean "undocumented workers", that stream in to California and the Southwest. Go figure.

Kenny Reed, professional skateboarder/do-nothing hates America, how perfect! Mr. Reed is ashamed to be an American but gladly rides for a huge American semi-corperate mall skateboard company while there are several successful foreign skateboard companies. Interesting. He also is a member of a most privilaged class, professional athlete. He gets to sleep until 3pm and then fly around the world at someone else's expense. All the while spending someone else's money. I can certainly see how Kenny can relate to the average American. To be fair, it's not like Kenny Reed is out there busting his ass to progress and "work" for a living. He has used his shtick of "world traveler" to somehow "earn" a shoe. It's so easy to see why liberalism and America hating comes so easliy to these people. They don't really think, they just say what the rest of the world wants to hear. It's sad really. Skateboarding is an American invention. Be proud of it.

I was just reading Slap and some dude wrote in complaining, in a completely unoriginal fashion, about how the magazine is pandering to street skaters and that someday, like the ill fated South, vert will "rise again". Well as I see parks are weak. Parks are places where people who are either too old or lazy, go to skate. I mean I like skating parks once in awhile but doesn't everyone realize that park skating is unnecessary in videos? Doesn't that say something. Why? It's boring to watch. The fast forward button on VCRs is called the vert button. Why? Unless it's the first time you've watched it or it Danny Way's part, it blows. The average kid at a skatepark is either training on the rail to be the next Jim Greco, who by the way finally came out of the closet in the new Transworld, or they want to be beer swilling old men in mesh hats. Weak. Park skating is for jocks, little kids without cars or access to the city, and old men who can't kickflip. Parks are weak, skate street don't be a pussy.
