10.20.07-Speedworld Page 001 up

Posted up the first page of "Speedworld", the new site comic.  You can see it by

going to the "comics" page and clicking on the Speedworld cover.  future comics

to follow, although not necessarily on a weekly basis.  Certainly while I'm working full

time, it will be hard for me to stick to a schedule.

Also, please note that in the not too distant future, I may be starting other comics.  As I

gain a more professional career than working in fast food dumps, I may have a lot

more time to exercise my talent and bring you more.  Other comics to follow might include

IHYC, Sonic Genome, and other comics that I've held in the past.  (Most likely, they will

be of the 'anthropomorphic' kind.)  Until then, the "comics" page will be mostly held by

Speedworld, which is one of my first stories.

Cleaned up the Guestbook signatures, getting rid of a few annoying Anons/ spams.

It looks a bit better now, so I think I will end up keeping the Signature page after all.

9.30.07- New comic soon

Okay, so here's the deal.

I don't suck at art, and I can draw worth my salt in most cases.  But I'm no

Todd McFarland, I'm not pro, and you're not gonna see my portfolio in DC Comics anytime soon.

point in case, a simple little webcomic- especially with my current drawing skills- does not do the

G-Sonic story any justice by a long shot.  And it won't anytime soon.  I'm canceling the action comic.

 

In the meantime- rather than sulking like the depressive moron I've been in recent years, I am instead going

to be doing a new webcomic, one with a bit more lighthearted feel, perhapse funny, perhapse cute, but certainly

a little more outfitted to my current skills in computer-generated art.  I will probably soon have

a better paying job, and be more able to expand my artistic arsenal beyond "photoshop7, doodles with an auto pencil, and a scanner".

Until then, I'm going to be devoting this site mainly to one or two of my old-school stories.

Their synopses are in this deviant art journal, and you can vote on which one you want me to do here.

SO yes, I am going to keep doing comics.  In fact, I will probably pick Sonic Genome: Earth Wars back up at some point.

But for now, I feel that I'm out of my league with it.  So instead, stay tuned for Speedworld, All American Assholes,

Dookie, or whatever I end up doing.  (Most of those comics were kinda crappy originally, so I really don't care which I end up doing.)

4/21/07- New Comic Up

I would like to thank my freaking Prozac for changing my damn mind

YET AGAIN.  I am continuing the Manga, and although I can in no way update

on a weekly basis at this time, I can guarantee you I will continue and start doing

Issue 2 of Volume 1 soon.

4.14.07-book two done

Hey, it's not my fault I forgot this place existed.

Book 2 finished and uploaded to the site, and I'll upload the new edits

10.12.06-comic is over

At least, temporarily.  This site will now be used to house my story directly.  Click on the novel links at the side panel to read what I’ve written so far: Genome 001 is finished (besides edits) and Dreamer is coming to a close.  I may update the comic at a later date, and am not going to remove it.  Also, updates to the Genome art gallery are here, too.  Check them out.

6.28.06-comicy update thingy

Heh heh...I went on haiatus again, didn't I?  No, that comic was just

a right BITCH for procrastination, especially since I got so sick of drawing the same

comic scenario for almost a year now.  Earth Wars issue One: "The Fortress Has Landed" is almost over-

question is, will I continue the web manga afterward?  DON'T FRIKKIN' KNOW.  We'll

just have to see how quickly I get a REAL job in the next couple of months.  XP

5.11.06-MY NOSE IS TRYING TO KILL ME!

Been frightfully ill with allergies lately, I even had to excuse myself

early from Spanish class because I became too sick.  I swear,

it's just like I'm a 7-year-old again!

Update this week, frikkin' SURPRISE! did not expect to have a comic up

this weekend, but then again it was very short and easy.  In their final moments

of the stadium assault battle, both Billy and Jamall are taken down by the machines,

as a truly grim night for humanity comes to a close.  Next week: dumb moves

part 2: Billy jumps off the bridge after his friend! :o

5.6.06-YAY! More computer death!

LOL INTERNET!  Last night I was drawing the last several frames of "this weeks"

manga page, and my evil, psychotic computer just SHUTS OFF.  I go to turn it back on

and see what damage has been done to the portable hard drive, and nothing happens.

I then tried to turn on a light, discovering that we had no power.  Mighty Poopsticks!

Got up this morning to discover the power back on-however ALL the work I did last night was gone

and I had to start the page all over again.  So LOL!  No comic THIS weekend either! 

Hoping to get a new one up by next Friday, or earlier if possible.

5.2.06-I am almost done being an ass-hat!

No comic this week again! I’ve had much to do with my lightwave class And also my drawing class, homework from these two are really taking up a lot of my Time. I have a retarded filler that I put up on my DA page earlier this week to give you something to look at. I am approaching the last four weeks of my schooling though. PERIOD. After this June, one of two things will happen- I'll either get a steady, stable Job that pays me well enough that I can live on my own while also havign enough time to update my manga and story on some sort of regular basis OR I'll get some job that sucks up an oppressive ammount of my time and Sonic Genome will just have to die. I'm personally hoping for the former, but am thinking that the latter is alot more likely unfortunately. Thing is, I'm just going to try and not give up. Of course, without homework and research papers to do, at least the time that I do spend at home will be my own, so I guess it really depends-how much time will that be a week? 04.19.06-quicky update

Comic this week 4 U = \ 

This week, Kathryn ("Kat") comes into the story,

and is here to help Sonic get back in the air.  However,

with little time to reconnoiter, Sonic isn't going back to

Omicron-9 just yet.  So swift and terrible has been Robotnik's

shock-and-awe attack, that Arial's aid workers (the Mobian

Alliance) aren't enough to recover the human survivors themselves,

and Kat is borrowing Sonic and his Avengers to help the alliance

search for, recover, and shield what human survivors they can.

Am happy with the ammount of time it took to do this

comic, However I am not so sure that next week will be so colorful.

I do have a lot of work to do, and I think I do need to re-mod

my resume with web links, and then go and spam some companies

with my work info. :P  Anyway, enjoy the comic, next week it's back to Billy

and Jamall, and the consequences of their foolish decision to fight the robots all night

(Not that they would have been okay anyway.)

4.06.06-sorry, no comic

No there likely won't be a comic this week.  Yes, I have been doing things

other than sitting on my ass playing video games and yaking on forums with my friends.

However, now that I am over my writers block in writing my book, I am back to writing the Part One

series.

I do have an update.  I am still fixing it up, but Sonic Genome has a wiki.

3.31.06-Computer Death!

You know, I never really had much appreciation for how my life would

SUCK if I didn't have my computer.  Right now, I'm so bored because I can't

do any art, I can't go on DA, I can't go on any of my forums, and

I'm freaking loosing my mind because I've got all these drawings I want to do,

and I can't because Photoshop got screwed up.

Wednesday, my computer got hit by a Trojan virus,  a computer virus that

pretty much wiped out almost everything on my computer.  Needless to say,

there will not be an update this weekend, (Not that anyone's going to die over that

anyway!) and there may not even be one next week.  After all, I would have to spend

virtually a whole week drawing away at it since I still only use a mouse.  Anyway,

my computer's dead and so now, while I have no access to school computers this weekend,

I guess I just have to say see ya.

3.22.06-haiatus over

Anywho, I am done with Cormier's evil project, which means that

I am now going to have more time to update the comic.  I have skipped

page ten basically because I can not think of a way to make "Mech Wars",

a robot battle show, look good in the manga.  That, and I suck at

drawing motorcycles possibly worse than I suck at humans!  And I've

really got to get moving on this storyline.

I will be using my Sheezy art account to display the comic arts, I think.

Just because admins don't seem to pay any attention to anything there,

and DA has an advisory block.  Thanks to anyone who stuck around.

1.05.06-sonic genome on haitus

With the pressures of work at school bearing down on me, I have decided to temporarily drop my work as a web comic artist for a while. This certainly does not mean that I will not continue Sonic Genome, or even Sonic Genome art, it just means that I will not be doing a web comic for a while.  Also, this march, I may be starting another web comic series called "super bob", based on my superhero mentality.  But for now I am just going to be writing Sonic Genome: "Dreamer of Mobius" on DeviantART.  Expect the comic to pick back up sometime in late March or Early April.  I will still be providing links to my chapters in my gallery.  This is Seph, siogning off.

12.2.05-invision board up!

Yays! I finally got my invision board up and running.

What possessed me, an impopular comic artist, to try writing my own

invision power forum? BESIDES drinking one too many beers one night?

NO, it was not the idiot posing as Jacko on my page.

No, I feel that I just STILL don't get enough feedback on DA

and so I just set up one more alternative means of critiquing my work.

However, i also wanted a board where I could talk about other things.

After all, I'm not a Sonic-Crazy twit, right? therefore, I wanted

to talk about video games, writing, drawing etc.

11.26.05-Yays 4 photobucket!

Kay, I've revamped the archives page

so that the previouse comics all have links to their images on my photobucket page

this means that you don't have to have a pre-paid account

to the elite DeviantART webpage in order

to view my comics.  I still don't have satisfactory navigation, I

suppose that I will have to tolerate that until I move out of Freewebs,

which I intend to do after finishing the first chapter of the comic.

Of course, I'd like to know if the links work.

So any feedback would be appreciated, and I'll be posting this on the VGCats forum.

New comic finished and up,

the kids are going to see their favorite

noisy event, Mech Wars.  Just to give an

idea of what "Mech Wars" is, it's like

monster truck rally with Harley motorcycles

and huge warmechs for targets. 

sorry for the lack of updates, but have had a

rather trying past couple of weeks,

followed by a rather defeating end to the last school

week.  I lost my client, and will now fail my

video class. 

Nothing I can do about that, so I guess I'll just finish

my other projects, and then draw like crazy.  Yays,

for YOU at least! :)  Oh wellz.

10.30.05-update

Haha!  I LIED!  comic #7 is up, it took me all night to finally

color up, but hey, a little MORE sleeplessness is worth it,

right?  :o Finally getting to end this sequence, which was much

longer in the original comic and would have taken up five

online pages.  Boring.  Just decided to end it here,

and next week we're oing to have another cutaway comic to

see how Sonic is doing (not too great!)

Bye, now.  Very busy with schoolwork, I hope I can get home

tonight before too long so I can at least draw up my

logo for T.C. MAV. (my "freelance video company")

10.29.05-comic resolution adjusted

Thanks to the in-depth critiques of the guys at the

VG CATS webcomic forum I have adjusted the size and

resolution of comics on my page to be more easily viewed.

As far as images on my deviantART page, I think probably

I am going to leave them as is because most of the comics are going

to have Advisories on them, as "Sonic: Genome" does contain

adult situations and themes.  Almost nobody views these, because

those interested do not have devART accounts.  Oh wellz.

At any rate, the comics have been re-sized and are still readable,

although the text in the bubbles may be a bit small.

No comic this week as I am up to my eyeballs in work.  Have a nice weekend!

10.24.05-Parental Advisories... someone need to die for this?

OKIDOKI.  I've been putting my archived comic files on my deviantART page, with links

to them externally.  AParrently, this is a bad idea as DA's parental advisory lock not only

prevents MA deviations from being seen by viewers under 18, it also blocks them from

viewers who don't have deviantART accounts.  So, this would explain why no one has

been able to view my comic lately!

I'm rather mad, but besides that I've decided to put the mature comics back up on this page

until I can get some kind of image hosting that is free and won't include firewalls.  Sorry for the inconvenience...

10.20.05-page 6 update

I HATE THIS COMPUTER!!!!

Got another comic art up, just to keep up with

my schedule because I am likely not going to be around

much this weekend.  Got enough work to keep me happy just

to get myself caught up on this video thing. 

continuing the scene from last week, Wallace may be good at

picking on people weaker than him, but when it comes to fighting

someone his own size, he's all tissue. The Jerk takes a spill,

but Billy suspects that he probably hasn't heard the last of

Wallace.

How right he is.

Now it's time for the starving artist to sleep.  maybe.

10.18.05-guestbook deleted

apparently some people

just don't know how to behave like

adults.  I suspect it was all the same person,

impersonating Jack Thompson (aka s*** for brains)

to criticize me.  It is not so much that this

person criticized me for having

Sonic in a violent comic, but rather that they

didn't even have the courtesy to tell me who they were.

AND they were idiotic enough to think that anyone

would really believe that Jack Thompson was actually on my page.

Stupid.  (I also didn't appreciate the innappropriate comment about

"Me being gay because a number of my characters so far are guys")

Anyway, the guestbook has been deleted.  This system of feedback was defunct

anyhow, with no required personal information there is no way to know who

is posting, and I am going to instead try to get myself an

INVISION official forum.  Until then, if someone wants to talk to me, they

are more than welcome to e-mail, where I can respond back. ;)

10.16.05-Comic #5

Comic number five is up.  My hands hurt after drawing

with computer tools.  This comic turning back to our human

friend, who walks in on some trouble in a back alleyway.

Jamall is being harrassed by Wallace, who is a bully anyway.

But Wallace seems to enjoy picking on Jamall Ruto especially,

and Billy decides that this time will be the last.

AAAAAAUUUUGGHHH!  I HATE DRAWING HUMANS!

I NEED AN ANIME ARTIST!  *falls over dies*  Yeah, this comic

demonstrates NOT my best drawing ability.  blah.  Anyway, getting

busy at school, and am thinking about talking to Lary about doing

10.1.05: character bio page

added a character bio page, just to give

some insight into the characters of my plotline.

 

As for the next comic, it is as usual, being a

tough experience, especially with my hands hurting.

The next comic page will feature a sequence that

was not drawn in the original comic I did ten

years ago, where Sonic's ship crashes to Earth.

It is a rather violent sequence with some graphic

images, so I'll be putting up a "Parental Advisory"

label when I post it on deviantART.  Along with this

comic update I will be installing one more item to the nav-bar

as an "archived comic" page, with links to the full-views

of each of the previouse comics, to save space on my

dwindling mega-byte capacity. Thank you.

9.25.05-New Comic update

Finally got page 3 done, a 12 pannel comic page

that will crash your computer if you look at it!  Have

been quite busy lately, hope that never happens again

but whatever.  No rest for the wicked, ONWARD!

In this comic we meet our new character.  He is

not the main character of the story-the story is

just told from Billy's perspective-but we meet our

confused protagonist the morning after a really

bad night and a fight with his girlfriend.  (No, he

is most definately NOT hung over!)  Hope to have a new

comic next Monday, maybe!

Comic #2: The Destruction of Orbital One

Page 2 of the comic is up and I have one thing to say:

I SUCK AT HUMANS!  I really draw my Sonic characters

pretty awesome, which isn't puffery at all, I really do.  But

my humans SUCK!  Just look at the pathetic girl in frame four!

Eww!  I wouldn't date that if she was the last anime girl on the

planet! XP

Also, the dialogue bubbles were messed up because my

hands started shaking again this morning and I've not seen

a doctor about this yet (getting worried ).

9.5.05 Future Update schedule

My up and coming update schedule.  Though it's a bit early for

this, especially since I am in college now, I feel it necessary to

provide a "deadline-based" comic update schedule.  I will be

updating (or trying to) with a new comic every Sunday,

probably during the evening.  Tune in Monday mornings

while avoiding your boss at work, as the update may

occur at any time on Sunday, including late evening/

early Monday morning.  I will do what I can to provide you

with a new comic every Monday.  Also, I finally took

that God aweful Midi off the homepage! :)

Weekend went great, and I must say, it was nice to get

my vampire ass out of the cold, dank house and actually

see people (and not want to eat them or beat them

over the head with heavy, blunt objects).

8.29.05-apologies again

Noticed that the comic today was oversized.

The comics for this series, being as detailed as they are,

will have to be larger than your screen. However, this week,

I will try to re-scale/re-size the comic so that it is not nearly

so hard to view. (Right now, it is so big that only

one frame fits on the screen at a time. 

I have drawn the next comic, where Robotnik's space station

emerges from hyperspace, it's ion cannon focused

on Earth's orbital defense grid...

8.28.05-Comic #1

The first page of Chapter One is up for viewing.

This comic starts, in part three (titled "Earth War") of the Genome story after the destruction of Mobius, Sonic's "homeworld".  The Mobian remnant, after having been hunted nearly to extinction, were left with only one choice: either retire to the black void to decay in space until their ragged civilization died, or pursue Robotnik's evil cohort into space-their destination: Earth...

The protectorate, which signed the order to terminate the Mobians, is retired.  The Space Authority, which carried those orders out, is dead.  Now, the Mobians are the only ones standing between Robotnik's evil droid army, and the total annihilation of Earth. 

The first comic took quite a lot out of me, I got absolutely NO work done on my "Triaminic add campaign" (Sorry Prof. Strolla! :P) but I'm proud just the same, it was a good job for my first web comic strip.  Next weekend I'll be going to my grandmother's house, my cousin Steph is returning home from Iraq (Only to be deployed two months later, Geeze!) so I'll not be updating with another comic next Sunday. I know, that's a bad way to start up a web comic page but, Oh well-that comic took about 14 hours to do! *whipes brow*

8.26.05-hard at work

mood: very busy

listening to: OC Remixes of course

Am finishing the script to comic adventure one today.  It is the shortest of the

twenty-some-odd planned comics for Sonic Genome: Earth War.  Yet this

adventure alone would probably take me until the end of next summer to finish.

I've pretty much decided that Earth Wars is probably the only part of the

Genome series that I will ever end up actually creating-it is the only part of the

series that, because of it's backdrops and flashbacks surrounding the character

Billy in his interactions with the Genome survivors, the story stands well enough

on it's own. 

Will begin artwork on comic page 1 tomorrow, and hopefully finish by the end of next week.
