Damh The Bard

Damh the Bard is a Druid whose spirituality is expressed through his music, storytelling and poetry. Drawing on the Bardic traditions his performances are both entertaining and educational, weaving a tapestry of myth, peace, and Pagan anthems that speak directly to the heart, but never without a good splash of humour. Leaving academia to those better qualified, Damh works within that world of myth that cannot be proved; where the Faerie really do dance on Midsummer's Eve, where the trees talk, and the Hollow Hills take you into the realms of Annwn. Where the Goddess rides her horse, guiding you to magic, and the Horned God of old calls us from the shadows of the Greenwood. So relax, and let the music and words take you there.

FOLKRUM

Folkrum is a dirt road at highway speed by a harmony-driven, modern vintage bandwagon. Nimble fingers fandango across the countryside without a fret. An empassioned storyteller rips off the rear-view mirror, as the seats become a string-section of gypsies and tap-dancing troubadours. Opening for acts such as Michelle Shocke, Train, Strangefolk, Luka Bloom, Mr. Ectomy and Taarka, their vaudevillian humor and melodic/harmonic intensity zig-zags through time, from Victorian sea-chanties to P-Funkish grooves. With skillful, yet spacious arrangements, the band delivers punching, truthful glimpses at today's problems and joys. Based in Portland, Oregon, the band was invited by Mississippi Studios to be the first to record at the newly-built studio/venue. 'Some Antics' is set to bring hometown Portland a taste of roots rock with more kick than the rest. Abounding optimism fills both lanes as they continue to perform throughout Oregon

P.S. This is my friend's Matt & Kina's former band. They left this band & formed "Tea Caddies". This band stuck around for a bit longer then broke up, but Matt is 1 of the 2 founders of this band And Kina was their Celloist & female vocalist. Get the Album "Some Antics". It worth it.
