Gidget

Gidget - Terrier X - Female - Appr 12 years

Possible breed mix - Australian Terrier X Jack Russell Terrier.

Gidget is a happy girl who is house trained, doggie door savvy and excellent company. She is friendly to strangers and is relaxed in the house and yard with all manner of machines and noises.

She is full of life and has lots of love to give, gentle with everyone. She is very people orientated and although good with other dogs is quite happy in the company of a caring person. She will sit beside you gazing into your face happily and then rest her chin in your lap. She will follow all the movement in the house not wanting to miss a single thing.

I would think her Terrier nature may surface if near a cat, so better suited to a home without one.

She has a few heath issues, including a heart murmur, a suspected small mammary tumour and failing eyesight, none of which require medication at this point. She is otherwise coping well with her aged body and has the prospect of quite some time yet.

In the time she has been with me her skin allergies have been sorted by simple flea treatment and time to heal and her coat is lush and full and much softer than before. She doesn't shed and her coat doesn't get knots, so very low maintenance.

She certainly has a healthy appetite and a zest for life and living it fully.

She would like to sleep in a cosy bed beside yours.

She is available for a home that has the space for a lovely old girl who seems ever so much younger! She doesn't need another dog for company.

Suzie

Suzie - Silky Terrier - Female - 12 years

Suzie is the cutest munchkin ever! She is a dream to care for. She is house trained, doggie door savvy, friendly with all people and other dogs and a cuddle specialist.

She has her health issues - a heart murmur, a small mammary tumour and arthritis - but the only medication she needs is for pain relief.

The pain relief has seen her much more agile, dancing around my feet at dinner time and home comings.

She is a tiny girl who would do well in a quiet home. She is too small and delicate for children but suit other older children and  particularly older people.

She would suit a home with other gentle dogs or a home with lots of company.

She would like to sleep all night in a tiny, cosy bed beside yours.

Her coat is easy care and needs only a regular brush and a trim around her face and feet occasionally.

She may not have a lot of years left but she has brings such joy into a house it's hard to see her miss out.

Charlie - Pom X Chi

Male - 14 years

Charlie is a dear, quiet little man just looking for the love he somehow has lost.
He is house-trained, doggie door savvy and beautiful company.
His coat is just gorgeous, a rich red and soft and despite being long is easy care with regular brushing.
If you are looking for some lovely and loving company from an easy boy then Charlie is your man.

Alice

Alice - Maltese X - Female - 10+ years

Alice is a Doggie Rescue dog and I decided to foster her for them as she just was too tiny and fragile to be in their kennels!! At her age she needed a home, a warm safe loving environment for her senior years.

She is so sweet. House trained, learnt a double doggie door in hours, has a good appetite, despite the lack of teeth, and a nature that has endeared her to all the other dogs here.

She is easy going but I can't say she is happy.......yet. Perhaps she's had such a rough time of late she hasn't quite got her head around her life as it is now. Something for me to work on along with the weight increase - she's very thin despite her extra care at Doggie Rescue for the last few weeks.

Felix

Felix - Shih Tzu X Silky Terrier - Male  - 14 years old

FELIX is a senior with an easy going nature. He doesn't demand much more than a cosy bed, (preferably inside the wardrobe), some good food (preferably out of some loving fingers) and company.

He loves people, is happy to meet anyone and just wants to be nearby. He loves a daily short walk and needs free access to the house and garden at all times. He is fully house trained and very clean.

His coat is an easy care one requiring a good brushing and attention to his feet and nails regularly. The hair around his eyes needs to be trimmed away and the odd application of Artificial Tears will help with keeping them flushed and moist. In the warmer months he does enjoy his coat clipped off short.

His only health issue to date is his sight. He has cataracts developing slowly which may have some affect on his night vision and eventually cause him to be sight impaired further down the track. Of course dogs in stable homes dogs always cope well with any vision loss, so this problem is minimal and manageable.

He gets on well with other dogs and loves to trot alongside them on the lead and occasionally will join in a friendly romp.Felix has lots of quality life still ahead of him and certainly deserves his spot.
