Semaphore is currently selling spaces in its quarterly issue for advertising spots. Advertisements will be in banner format, around the size of a banner advertisement on a website or in a regular magazine. One spot in one issue costs $NZ10.00. We recommend this service for people wishing to advertise an internet-based business, enterprise or project; Semaphore Quarterly's global audience means that advertisers of internet-based projects will be able to reach potential customers or fans all over the world.

Authors Both people who have published their own books and those published by professional publishing houses are often called upon to do their own advertising; here, for a small fee, they can reach people whom they already know are interested in reading.

Webmasters/Webmistresses Advertising is a good way to get your personal or business-related website out there in the public forum.

Remember, if, as a contributing author or poet, you book an advertisement with Semaphore in an issue during the year in which your work was accepted, you'll receive a 25% discount, bringing the cost down to only $NZ7.50!

Advertisers must provide their own banner or similar device for the presentation of their advertisement. They should be in JPEG or PNG format, and be 5 cm by 16 cm (454x142 pixels).

You may have noticed that we are also offering advertising space on the website itself. These are provided by ProjectWonderful, and a day's worth of advertising can be purchased for as little as $0.01 per day. To bid on an empty ad box, click on it, and you will be directed to our ProjectWonderful page.

 Sponsorship is for those people who provide, upon being approached by a representative of Semaphore, a considerable amount of funding or other benefit to the project. The amount given may change from case to case.

A sponsor will have his or her website linked to from Semaphore's website and will be thanked in each issue of the magazine that benefits from their support. In select cases a sponsor may also receive a free copy of the Annual at the end of the year as a token of gratitude.
