It is thanks to OUSA that I will be able to fund a print run of Semaphore's first issue to celebrate its debut. OUSA provided $250.00 to go towards the printing and paying contributors.

I'd like to thank everyone on the 2007 executive for supporting my fledgling e-zine; I hope that their investment will not be a waste, and that Semaphore will be providing free fiction and non-fiction for a long time yet!

In thanks for OUSA's support of my e-zine, as of our first issue of 2008, a certain amount of space will be held aside in each issue to be filled by the work of writers who are members of OUSA. Depending on how many contributions from OUSA members are received during each submissions period, this will probably account for up to two short stories, two poems and one article per issue. So, please, if you are an OUSA member, please say so when you submit a piece of work!
