Foster Families ALWAYS Needed

Email for fostering information: Judi@barksoflove.org

Barks of Love Animal Rescue & Placement Services is a California non-profit group, staffed by volunteers. Our goal is to decrease the total number of animals being euthanized in animal shelters each year by finding new, permanent homes for them.

Our animals come from a variety of circumstances - Most are rescued from "Death Row" at local shelters, while others are brought to us by their owners as an alternative to the shelter, and others are just found afraid and abandoned on the streets.

Barks of Love Animal Rescue and Placement Services has no paid employees and does not receive funding from any government agency.
We are staffed entirely by volunteers and obtain funds solely from adoption donations, fund-raisers, and donations.

MR. SPOCK!

Rat Terrier Mix

Approx. 2 Yrs

Mr. Spock is a shy boy, who needs lots of love. He's been with BOL for quite some time, but is progressing with this socialization skills....just waiting until the perfect match comes along.

Cautious at first, he does warm up and will create a strong bond with his furever family.

Could you give Mr. Spock a furever home?

Tips from the Behaviorist:

5 Tips for Approaching a Fearful Dog:

1-Avoid eye contact

2-Avoid walking directly toward the dog. Approaching any dog head on can be perceived as a threat

3-Crouch down & make yourself appear smaller and less intimidating

4-Let the dog come to you

5-Touch a dog's chest or chin. Petting the head can be threatening

Meet:
BRODY!
He is a 3 year old male Pit bull, rescued from a high kill shelter. Poor Brody ended up in the wrong hands & was neglected & abused. He is now safe & searching for his forever home.  He is the biggest love bug ever, always smiling & always happy. He is a strong willed boy who needs guidance & an alpha owner to show him the way. He would be best as an only dog or with a female dog but loves all humans & is good with kids.
He's loves to just sit by your feet and relax.  Brody has been in training for the last month and is doing wonderful. He has come along way.

Brody needs a special home with special people who will show this sweet boy what it is to be loved & cared for. Could that home be with you?
