HOW WILL THE CAMP BE ORGANISED?

Cub Packs and Scout Troops will be camping alongside each other and the whole camp will be divided into 3 ‘villages’. The 7 Sealion Scouts will be in Village B.  Each village will have its own kitchen and dining area, to supply food and drinks for its own village. Villages will be divided into Teams. Teams will consist of a mixture of Cubs and Scouts and across the weekend Teams will complete a number of activities and challenges. All activities will be carried out according to Scout Association rules. Some of the activities* we hope to include are :

Royal Kingston Challenge Camp

Royal Kingston Challenge Camp, 7-8 May 2005

There was an exciting new camping weekend run by the District for Patrols of 4-6 Scouts on 7-8 May 2005 at Walton Firs Camp Site, Cobham.  This was an excellent introduction to camping and an essential warm up for Summer Camp.  The weekend was packed with activities and fun, and gave a good introduction to camping and cooking.

Walton Firs’ on-site activities included: Archery, Climbing/Abseiling, Adventure Course, Pioneering, Orienteering, Push Ball, Maze, Giant Games.  Also on offer this weekend were: Sumo Wrestling, Water Slide Competition, Make a Video, Disco & Spit Roast, How to Gut a Fish, Cooking and Camping Competitions, Activities Shield, various challenges, sports and games.

Look out for the 2006 camp as a preparation for NAWAKA.

Welcome
