Welcome to the 1st Surbiton (Sealion) Sea Scout Group. We are the largest Scout Group in the Royal Kingston District, with three sections: Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, and the Sea Scout Troop. We are also lucky enough to be partnered with an Explorer Sea Scout Unit. These sections are for different age groups that are designed to give maximum enjoyment - Beavers for 6-8 year olds, Cubs for 8-10, Scouts for 10-14 and Explorers up to 18 years.
Have a look around the site to find out about us and what we do. If you would like more information or want to join, you can find the form on the nav bar. This site is expanding all the time - new articles and pictures on the Beavers, Cubs, Sea Scouts and Explorers. We also have pages on Camps and Activities including NAWAKA 2006. Check out the Calendar to see what is coming up in the next few weeks.

Today, Scouting is a million times bigger than when it first started. It involves girls and boys, men and women from every race, religion and culture, and nearly every country in the world. In 2007, Scouting celebrates its worldwide Centenary.
The single theme for all events and activities for the Centenary of Scouting and the 21st World Scout Jamboree is: 2007: One World One Promise.
The Group takes part in loads of exciting and adventurous activities. As well as canoeing and rowing on the River Thames from our base on Ravens Ait island, we go on hikes and expeditions, lots of camps, sailing, mountain biking, swimming, dry slope skiing, wide games, night exercises, cooking, pioneering, first aid, navigation, charity fund-raising, conservation, life saving, quizzes, games, sports, videos, climbing, abseiling, skating, international trips, model making, arts and crafts, debates and discussions, and lots lots more.
