ARTIST'S STATEMENT
To inspire all artists, THE CREATOR, has provided endless motives as: horizons, oceans' waves, colorful flowers, meadows, animals, insects, love songs from blooming tree, deadly dance by mountain's goats, body's pain expressed on faces, soul's agony and fear hidden in deepness of the eyes, happiness from mothers hug, peacefulness of small village, fast life in modern big cities...
When my inner emotions interact with the reality of everyday' life in New York City they brings hidden energy from buildings, bridges, trees, parked cars, sport arenas, music from underground of subway and people on the streets which I convey to my canvas.
My paintings will continue to capture each moment in time of Beautiful City Wonderful Life which is my City of New York.

PROFILE.
My artistic' name is Seahawk Wang-Radojcic and I was born in Harbin as Haiying Wang Harbin is a capital city of Hei Longjiang province, which is geographically located at highest point in Northeastern China. Close to Russian Siberian border. Please note that Haiying in English means Seahawk.
As a five to six year old girl, growing up and not understanding what is going on, when every day seeing and hearing masses of people walked and screamed on the street. I couldn't accept that scary reality and I created my own. I retreat to another world, to my room where I started drawing the things around me... I developed an exceptional drawing ability and latter on, at age, I guess, of eight or maybe nine, one cold winter evening my father brought home used water colors and he showed me how to use them...
Next year in the end of Summer, my mother told me that I will not go to my old school and she will take me to another, that is only few streets from our apartment. The "new school", was a small and old house. A strange odor was in the air. In dark small long hallway, from ceiling to the floor, different size of painting hanged tight together. One of the five doors was my class room entrance...
At age of 13 (1981) I school awarded me a first price for best Still Life paintings in water color. http://www.seahawkart.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=7555046
Next year (1982), at age of 14 I was awarded second price for self portrait, OIL ON CANVAS. http://www.seahawkart.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=60463378
After graduated from high school I was admitted in Northeast University of Fine Arts Department of Changchun having majored in engraving and etching. While in college, I had many solo exhibitions in college and 1989 (when still in college) I had my first solo exhibition at really gallery - MING Gallery in Chang Chun City.
After graduation 1991, I was offered a job as art editor for Hei Longjiang Daily newspaper, in Harbin, but by declining that position I devoted myself for full time to oil paintings. Also, I explored more and more about art by studying Old European Master. I did grasped essence of they artistic' soul and that helped me to develop my unique brush technique. My glimmer tone would grow into glint of balanced colors with full spectrum of explosive and energizing movements.
Living in Harbin and trying to get in art world was not easy. Against parents wishes (child can't make own decision), I moved to to Beijing in middle of 1995 and 1997 I had my first and biggest solo exhibition at Chinese National Museum of Art in Beijing. That was reported by every national news paper, TV, Radio and also I was interview by Reuters News Agency inside of Museum. http://www.seahawkart.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=6660055
Same year, Hong Kong "MING" a weekly magazine, had chosen 10 best Chinese artist. I had honor to be one of them and was invited to Hong Kong together with other nine artist: Wu Qingxia, Cheng Shifa, Sing Wenshi, Qian Juntao, Sho Lou Yang, Ming Ming, Cheng Duo Duo, Guo Yizong and HanTian Heng. http://www.seahawkart.com/press19892009.htm
The Chinese industrial expansion that polluted our air, water and food inspired me to start to think about how the innocent habitant of our Global Village cope - the animals and plants - and to warn our society about catastrophic climatic changes. The China Daily, Chinese English language daily news paper quoted Chinese famous art theorist, Tao Yongbai: Wang is the first one of the same trade to hold up high the flag of Green Revolution by incorporating artistic forms into the environmental source material. That and more news paper cutout (have over 110 original) can be review on my website at Press 1989/2009 ... Man and Nature, the was officially name of my second solo exhibition at Chinese National Museum of Art in Beijing, was a knife with double sharp edge and forced me move back to Harbin. http://www.seahawkart.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=6660062
Next period of my life from 2000 until 2004 I had painted on commission, mostly portraits, but, that was boring and not challenge for my artistic' soul. Already being proclaimed (green) "revolutionary" I took my "weapon", and went to villages where 2/3 of Chinese population lives - The Peasants - that are exploited by corrupted local and provincial leaders. Land are taken from peasants for small or not any compensation and then resold for big profit to developing companies that have contract with Central Government to build infrastructure, industrial complexes and entire small cities in conjunction with new factories... Farming land was rapidly disappearing and the collision of Chinese traditional way of life, "The Past" and modern "New Corrupted Present" has brought "Dark Future" to Chinese peasants. http://www.seahawkart.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=6660147
Parallel with Chinese government's expansion into villages and it's pretension to become a global, economical, political and military power, inspire me to start creating an new theme, a "Chinese CommuTalism". I asked myself a many questions:
1.) What would happen if Chairman Mao and his "friend" LIn Biao used the The Theory of QUANTUM MECHANICS & PHYSICS that allows for space and time to bend and stretch and returned back to China and Chinese COMMU-TALISM?
2.) What would then happened with Chines Global pretension to become political, military and economical POWER?
3.) Would Mao continue as a Father of Cultural Revolution? Would he just give damn and embrace Westerners Way of Life?
4.) Or, would he combine both these systems into CommuTalism and use it to control the World? I am still searching for answers and my next painting "DISHARMONY" (68" x 120") http://www.seahawkart.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=49445639 will be just a tip of iceberg.
I meet my husband, a naturalized American citizen on MSN.com dating web and before we got married in Harbin (2005), he e-mailed me plenty of photos of city from USA where he lived. I fall in love with blue sky, green trees, people on the streets, landmarks and buildings, musician on subway platforms, vendors trying to make living... His city become one of my favorite painting theme. Even not being any political theme that I love to wrestle with, I started and I will continue painting Beautiful City Wonderful LIfe, which is now my City of New York. http://www.seahawkart.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=7555046
