After what has, in Flying Heroes terms at least, been a
pretty active couple of years the band has undergone something of a lay
off for the past few months. Partly due to the amazing Hazel and Dan
offing to Uni to hone their boffinness and partly due to the Seagers
leaving the Octagon behind and moving to pastures new. Well, the
'Squoctagon' is now complete and the Heroes are back together. Lucie
Baines (yes, she really does smile all the time) is mercifully still with us
on drums and we're very fortunate in that 'voice of an angel' Charlii
Allen has kindly taken on bass/vocal duty. Latest addition is Serge, who brings a whole heap of new possibilities to the band with his guitar, keyboard and vocal wizardry. The Flying Heroes forge on
into their 13th incarnation and 36th year and are currently practising like mad
things (once a fortnight :) in readiness for...er...who knows what?
The
original Flying Heroes (Tim: Bass, Nick: Drums and Carl: Guitar/Vocals) took to the stage in 1974.
