Trying To Live Gluten Free In a Gluten Laden World

November 14, 2007

I am adding some gluten free lists that I have found very helpful. They are collected from numerous gluten free websites. I print out a copy of everything and put it in a bradded folder to leave with family anytime I go over that way they have it for when they have the kids. If you have anything to add or something I have on there is wrong, please let me know. You can email me through the address in the "contact me" section.

WOW! I guess I should give an update

Thanksgiving is right around the corner!

We have discovered that Matthew is sensitive to gluten and we have gone completely gluten free. It is hard and it is a pain in the butt! I am going to add some menu and lists to the side bar, maybe I can help another mama out.

We are having an early TG dinner at my mother in laws house (I've been thinking about just calling her mom on the net, what do you think?) and I am going to be making the whole dinner so I am sure everything is gluten free (from here on out to be called gf), well not EVERYTHING. Mom is cooking the turkey, cranberry sauce and her famous lemon pie!

The First Day Of School

Paul started school August 10th. I cannot believe my first baby is in school! Time sure does pass fast when they are growing up.

Happy Valentines Day.

This past weekend we went on a "mini" vacation. A friends family own a non working farm with large pond with two islands, lots of acearage to ride four wheelers and dirt bikes, two houses to accommodates lots of people. There where 8 adults and 5 kids. It was so much fun. It was freezing, but fun. I added some pictures in the kids links and in the gallery.

2006 Is Here!!

This kids got lots of gifts for Christmas. LOADS lol. After a week of me asking Paul and Matthew to clean up the toys Dustin finally decided he had enough and we closed off the playroom for a bit. I find that I get along better with the boys when I am not on their butts all day to put away the toys they are not playing with.

The week before Christmas our dryer went out. It was horrible, especially bad beacause my kids wear cloth diapers. So, this Sunday my sister in law called to come over and they suprised us with a new dryer!!

Christmas is on the way!!

Well, the tree is up. The only problems that we are having is Matthew is un-decorating the tree on an hourly basis. That and we still need a tree topper. I remember mine and Dustins' first Christmas tree that had a cowboy hat as a topper. This is the same that I was pregnant with Paul and Dustin drove 470 miles one way to come home and pick out a tree with me and then only stayed about 10 hours before turning around and driving 470 miles back to work.

Happy Thanksgiving

 November 17, 2005

Thanksgiving is aproaching. YAY! This year Dustin and I have decided to spend it at home with just the 5 of us. I am planning on making some cornish hens, sweet rolls, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and pecan pies, cranberry sauce and stuffing. This will be my first foray into making a holiday dinner for my family and I am very excited.

I will be posting more pictures to the Gallery today and tomorrow
