About Us

We are a small, friendly group of table football players, who don't take it too seriously, and like a good game of fun table football.  We all wish to improve our game, and one or two aim to participate in more serious competitions in the future.  There are currently six regular players within the club, although due to outside commitments, some are more regular than others, with numbers steadily increasing.

Located in South Devon, England, the Club (at least the Table Football part) was established early February 2006, the Evening is in actual fact the South Devon Gaming Club evening (Table Wargaming etc etc, basically, any tabletop game goes here) which has been running for a number of years, whose members play Warhammer 40,000 / Epic / Fantasy / Battlefleet Gothic, and a great many other tabletop war games (you can also email us on this subject too if you are interested).

Initially, the SDGTFC used an Astrobase pitch on a homemade table (with pitch surround, built by one of the founding members), but as the needs of the club quickly became apparent, we quickly invested in new and more suitable equipment, and now we currently use a Woodentop Liga StadiumMetal Championship Goals, with a further two available if needed.  We also run various leagues.

There is adequate street parking, a pub/restaurant/chippy/local shop etc nearby, on premises toilet facilities, and a small kitchen for tea coffee etc etc with a small selection of food/drinks to buy.  It costs £2 per evening (for all ages) if you play any game(s), but if you just come to socialise/spectate/mock then its £1, basically to pay for rental of the hall, heating etc. The upside is that your first visit is free

We hope you find our little website informative & that you enjoy your visit, feel free to Contact us (on our various methods) or leave a message or comments on our Guestbook Thank You for visiting

How To Get To The Venue

If you’re travelling from outside the area,  ( you'll need a passport, a tractor license and an inoculation to visit Devon, internal inspection by Ministry Vet is optional

Directions (From Torquay)

Head To Newton Abbot using the Newton/Torquay Road, Turn Left into Barnhill Road (immediately after traffic lights opposite The Sloop which will be on your right at this point)

Then take the Right Turn into Halls Lane, (which is quite soon after you turned off the into Barnhill Road) and follow this road to the top and then turn right into School Road, the hall is on the left side about 50-100yards down.

Whether your coming from Plymouth or Exeter directions

Follow signs to Torquay via Newton Abbot, a couple of miles after a huge roundabout (Pen Inn Roundabout) you come across Kingskerswell, as above, look for The Sloop Pub/Restaurant on your Left and the Traffic Lights immediately before the pub (another land mark is that these lights are in a valley and there is a small flyover above the brow of the hill a little in the distance)

At the traffic lights, you will be turning RIGHT into Barnhill Road. Then take the Right Turn into Halls Lane, (which is quite soon after you turned off into Barnhill Road) and follow this road to the top and then turn right into School Road, the hall is on the left side about 50-100yards down.

If You are planning to travel some distance, or are visiting the area and want to drop by, it is advisable to check with us as the hall occasionally is booked for other events and therefore no games are on, also, if you are visiting the area, and dont wish to bring your own team, you are more than welcome to borrow one of ours, but please email in advance so we can arrange this.

We look forward to seeing everybody there!
