Brendan Somers has been working professionally as a writer for film and television since 1994. His produced films include, CRIMETIME and THE COMMISSIONER (both directed by George Sluizer, director of the acclaimed THE VANISHING), MURDERERS (directed by Pepe Danquart, winner of the Oscar for short film 1997) and THE SKITOUR a thriller for Bavarian TV. He has developed numerous films, both feature and TV, with film companies in Holland, Denmark, France and Germany as well as in the UK.
Brendan has been a film critic for TNT magazine, a script reader for Yorkshire Television, worked on The Creative Writing Program at Holloway Prison, London, and has lectured in screenwriting at Swansea University.
A former member of BAFTA, Brendan now lives mostly in France and is a voting member of THE EUROPEAN FILM ACADEMY. He also teaches drama to dyslexic and autistic children and is developing several screenplays.
