Excuse me, but I don?t completely agree with Becca's view...
You probably know that kanji have multiple pronunciations, Chinese pronunciation (or ON reading) and the Japanese pronunciation (or KUN reading). Right?
Well, ON reading for 亨(Tooru) is? " kyō ". ;)
I think his stage name is just a pun on the pronunciation of the kanji of his real name.
Hi! It must be so hard to keep a fansite like this running, huh? Well, I wanted to say, Kudos to you!
Just letting you know that your 'photobucket account is innactive' So none of your pictures are working for now. A new lame adjustment to photobucket, but it happens, I guess.
I know it's not really a big deal, but maybe you could mention the fact that Kyo sometimes sings different versions of the original song. The most apparent being Code of the Vulgar[ism]'s 'Fukai'... But he does it more recently.
On a lot of the songs in The Rose Trims Again he sang different lyrics. Even with old favourites like Obscure.
-Shrug- Maybe you could use that. Sorry I can't be of more help. Most of my feeling of Kyo is purely opinion based. Therefore making it kind of irrelevent to this site.
I loved this site, I really appreciate the translations from Kyo's poem books and the interviews. I will start looking to buy his books and support him! Good job and please keep updating ;D
Haha man seriously thanks again this helped me wright a poem/lyrics for my English class about Religion and Drugs :p everyone got freaked out I stole like two or three lines from Kyo sama though D: but still weee thanks :] this helped me find some inspiration i guess I'd call it even though its not really as much as what I'd consider it
To everyone who has commented that I haven't gotten to yet... I apologize!! Thank you for your signatures! They mean so much to me! Christopher, I am glad that you like the site. You're so welcome!
Becca! Brilliant observation! Thank you. I added it to the Interesting "Facts" section!
Hey thanks for this amazing site! I love Kyo and Kyo's work, it really inspires me to keep up with my music and hopefully one day I can be like him ^_^ anyways thank you so much!
Just a comment on Kyo's stage name (Kyo). If you look at the kanji for "tooru," you can move a few of the strokes around to make the kanji for "kyo." So I think that he just moved the strokes in his real name around to make "kyo." I've also read that he loves or identifies with Kyoto (where he grew up, right?) so that might be part of the reason he wanted to change it to that kanji. Maybe. (This is guesswork, haha.)
