A CELEBRATION FOR A WONDERFUL ACHIEVEMENT

 

 

Dear Friends,

Well it's that time again, only seems like a few weeks ago since we all received the Spring edition of STAGEDOOR and here is the summer edition, which again i know you will all enjoy reading.  We are delighted to announce the the Welsh Prince of Laughter - Mr Wyn Calvin will be joining us on the 7th of November for our 30th Anniversary celebration.  Wyn is a great supporter of the Society and we very much look forward to meeting him again.

 

On pages 13, 22 & 23 you will see that Myself, Bob Bain and the Committee have been busy arranging some events for Society members.  I have to stress how important it is for our membership to attend these events, as the Committee are working hard to ensure that your membership is enjoyable.  We are aware that due to the credit crunch, we have to watch the pricing for each event and we are doing our best to keep costs as low as possible.  There are currently twenty two seats remaining for the 30th Anniversary Dinner Dance and if you have still to book your place, could you please contact me ASAP to secure your seat.  If you would like to book for any of the events on pages 22 & 23 please contact Bob Bain ASAP.  I would also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the membership renewal is due on September 1st 2009.

 

I would like to finish off by sending out a Get Well message to a member of our Committee, Dave MacIntyre.  Recently we were informed that Dave is going into hospital.  On behalf of the Committee and the Membership of the Scottish Music Hall & Variety Theatre Society, I would like to wish you a very speedy recovery Dave, take things easy and you are in all our thoughts and we look forward to seeing you soon and again sharing all the fun and laughter which you bring with you.  GET WELL SOON DAVE.
