EXHIBITION - AULD KIRK MUSEUM 5TH JULY - 30TH AUGUST

"Twice Nightly, Twice Brightly - Memories of Scottish Variety Theatre " presented by the Scottish Music Hall and Variety Theatre Society is an exhibition on the great Days of the Scottish Variety Theatre.

Reminisce in the memorabilia which includes theatre posters and programmes from many of the Variety Shows staged in Scotland.  These shows will include "Five Past Eight", "The Lex McLean Show" "Francie and Josie" and Clark and Murray".  Other memorabilia will include photographs of many of the stars of the Scottish Variety Theatre: Jack Radcliffe, Jack Milroy, Jimmy Logan, Walter Carr, Stanley Baxter, Johnny Beattie, Anne Fields, the Alexander Brothers and many of the Theatres the stars played.  These will include the Empire Theatre, The Pavilion Theatre, The King's Theatre and The Theatre Royal, all Glasgow based Theatres. 

Remember many of the stars who graced the boards of the Glasgow Variety Theatres and the famous Clyde Resorts and many of the shows which opened with a line up of Moxon Girls. Take a trip down Memory lane and the glorious days of Scotland's Variety Theatre.
