SBGW REPORT 2007

Local 17th Century Tower 6/01/2007

We had planned to do a New Year vigil at this site to see if there would be any extra activity because of the date but due to the really bad weather it had to be cancelled on the very day of the planned event.
So myself and partner went on the weekend of the 6th january to see if we could have any luck.
When we arrived i lit a few tee candles in the basement and we concentrated our efforts in this area (the wind was reasonably strong outside still),due to the weather and me feeling rather uncomfortable for some reason we lasted thirty five minutes then packed up with no results.
On viewing the footage on camcorder there were a few anomolies but could not rule out the weather for these.

 

Secret location one 24/03/07

Ist Area

There were a few orbs caught on camera in the back corridor but on the whole not much happened , we called out then threw stones to try and get a reaction but again nothing happened.We then went into the main area which gave a couple of orbs including a string orb caught on video and after calling out we got a few knocks which seemed to fit in with the questions but they did not last for any length of time and everything went quiet again. There was a feeling that we were not alone and there were dark shadows moving down at the end of the room but we could not explain this and decided to move on.

2nd Area
This area had in the past given good results.
On getting about 8ft from the entrance there was a feeling that something was there so we entered. Inside there had been some changes and we were able to get in much further than on previous occasions. The feeling here was that something had been here but not at that moment so I dont think any spirits are grounded.  We continued filming and calling out but nothing happened until we were almost ready to leave, we then got some clear thumps from a side room and ceiling in response to questions.There were a few orbs caught on video including one I saw while it was being filmed but none on camera apart from a couple on the last photo as we left. Outside at same point I had the same feeling that I had on going in.
3rd Area
This has always been a good area for catching orbs and as usual some were caught on camera in the side room. Some photos were taken with a flash and others with long exposure night shot and both showed orbs.There were some noises here but after discussion we all decided that it was an animal outside as the side entrance goes directly outside.
VERDICT
A few interesting noises,orbs and a fantastic string orb caught on video but not as much as we hoped for. The overall result was interesting . But I wonder if the results had anything to do with the fact that we started earlier than usual and things had been moved about in all the locations.May have to call back at a later date.

Trimontium Roman Fort site (Newstead) 7/04/07

We arrived at this site at 9:30pm and got straight into the job in hand.I entered the field where the auditorium was sited and sat filming for any anomolies in the dark with night vision camcorder (still to be viewed) but did not pick up on anything even after asking for any spiritual presence.The field opposite was entered also and whilst filming  i picked up on what sounded like heavy footsteps,not sure if camera picked that up.

One or two members took photos of surrounding areas including some of the old newstead to leaderfoot road.On the way back to the car Krissie picked up on a specific cold spot where she thinks may have been a path from barracks to auditorium.

Another area we checked before packing up for the night was the old bridge over the River Tweed and one member took two or three photos and an orb appeared in them in the same area each time.The investigation finished at around 11:15pm.

ANCIENT CHURCH & GRAVEYARD (ROXBURGHSHIRE)  21/04/07

We arrived at this location at around 10:30pm and entered graveyard next to carpark.The investigation started near the shed area where in spots the air was found to be cooler than other areas.I filmed near the shed and picked up a strange shape at bottom of the window moving faster than the camera was.One or two orbs were picked up around this area,i used my whisper 2000 but did not pick up any unusual noises.

As we headed closer to the derelict church it started to get a little breezy,as i panned around i caught a streak orb exit from the base of one of the gravestones and a little later from the ground next to my bag.

At the entrance next to the church we all heard footsteps which was rather alarming and even captured it on film too.More orbs were picked up at this area and as i was changing batteries on my partners camera we both heard footsteps directly behind us,near to the previous ones .

A sweep was made of the area alongside the wall next to a river then we called it a night.On the way back to our cars a streak orb was picked up on film.

On the whole this was a good night but more needs done to discover certain characters buried at this site who may stir things up or have already been,who knows.To be continued..........

BENRIG CEMETERY (ROXBURGHSHIRE)  4/05/07

We arrived at this location at around 10:10pm and made our way down the main path through the cemetery towards the now demolished church on the older side of the cemetery.This area is very active as far as strange things happening is concerned and tonight is no exception.

A strange glowing object was spotted on a picture taken of an area of the cemetery whilst standing next to church foundations,i walked towards this area with video and picked up two sets of what looked like eyes staring back at me,they even seemed to blink so possibly cats or the like.

Whilst checking my bag of investigation tools i just caught what sounded like footsteps running towards me in the longish grass,made me jump i can tell you but we found no explanation for the sounds or anything on video footage either.Whilst we stood still at this area we all heard footsteps in the grass and sometimes caught what looked like shadows out of the corner of our eyes but again no evidence to support this.Emf showed no fluctuations. 

Next the group decided to explore the path that runs down the left side of the cemetery near the entrance.I followed up the rear with the camera and we would stop every few feet to take photos and video the path behind us,i caught a couple of strange anomolies by the time we arrived at the top of the stairs, towards the river tweed.This path is very eerie but maybe that is because we know what is next to us in the dark.This investigation was not very fruitful but the fear factor was high after the eyes incident and the rush towards us one too.Footsteps in the longish grass can give you a jump especially when we all here the same thing.

Our next visit to this location will focus on the path alone and follow it down to the River Tweed and all the way round the cemetery too.To be continued........

 

01/09/2007 local tower

Our first outing this month was more of a celebration.

It was Ghostwatchers 40th birthday so we arranged to go to Greenknowe tower to blow the summers cobwebs off us and check equipment was working properly. Unknown to Ghostwatcher we had brought along a birthday cake and some non alcoholic wine, so there we were singing happy birthday ,eating cake and drinking the wine. as you can imagine this was not the best atmosphere to have an investigation , so we packed up and left to try somewhere else.

 I dont think Ghostwatcher will forget that birthday for a while.

01/09/2007 Benrig cemetery

After the fun at the local tower we decided to give our local cemetery a visit . By this time we were all in the mood for some real investigating so cameras and night vision video on we entered. The air was clear ,not much wind which was ideal. Straight away I got a few good orbs so after wandering about we went to the old kirk ruin.On the way the atmosphere changed ,it got rather windy and it felt like we were being watched.This was not a bad feeling but I think it was the guardian of the graveyard  keeping an eye on us as some idiots had been damaging the ruins since the last time we were there.

We then went to the path that takes you down to the  river Tweed ,narrow and very dark it is quite spooky to say the least. I went to a point where I previously got some good orbs This time was just as good and I got some more very good ones as did other members.

The verdict   Some good orbs both on camera and video ,strange noises and one member feeling as he was getting pushed over was interesting worth going back again.

Ancrum Graveyard

This is always an interesting site, and this time was no different! Sounds were heard from various parts ,some which we would say were footsteps. There was the feeling that we were being watched, but  this was not threatening like we have felt here before. Some good orbs were caught on camera but a strange thing was caught by another member it seems like a light which is coming out the ground- this we have no explanation for.

Secret Location 3

We thought that we would visit this graveyard to see what it was like and to decide if to do a full investigation there. After our introduction to the spirits and explaining why we were there we went round the site taking photos and got some very good orbs, which seemed to be centred around one area. Before leaving we thanked the spirits for letting us visit and said I was going to take 2 more photos and would like someone to show themselves to us if possible. The first photo did not show anything but the second had a strange mist on it. There is no explanation for this as it was a clear reasonably warm night in which your breath did not show as it does in the cold.

We decided this  location  needs a full investigation.
