GW REPORT 2005Ancient Church/yard 19/03/05
WELL WHAT CAN I SAY, WE REVISITED THE CHURCH WE VISITED LAST YEAR BUT ARE STILL UNABLE TO GET INSIDE AS DOOR LOCKED.WHEN WE ARRIVED I PLACED EMF METER IN KEYHOLE & READING FLUCTUATED BETWEEN 5-8 mG FOR ABOUT A MINUTE THEN NOTHING(DOOR IS THICK OAK DOOR)WE TRIED EVP AT CRYPT WINDOW & PICKED UP SOMETHING BUT STILL WORKING THAT OUT.SOULSEEKER,OUR MEDIUM,WAS TOUCHED BY SOMETHING AROUND BACK OF CHURCH.
Local 17th Century Tower
ON WAY BACK HOME WE CALLED INTO A LOCAL TOWER & SOULSEEKER FELT THE PRESENCE OF A FEMALE AS HE DID LAST YEAR BUT ALSO A MALE TOO.WHILST WE WERE IN SECOND FLOOR ROOM I FELT SOMETHING TOUCH MY HEAD SO I BRUSHED IT AS YOU DO THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN.WE ALL TOOK OFF OUTSIDE BUILDING.THE EMF METER SHOWED NO UNUSUAL READING & NO EVP EITHER.STILL TO REVIEW PICTURES.
WE ARRIVED AT 11:45pm IN SEPERATE CARS (ME,SOULSEEKER,BUZBY & PARTNER,DAVE & LANCE).THE FIRST PORT OF CALL WAS THE MONUMENT ON THE HILL.A BELL WAS PLACED HERE AS A TRIGGER OBJECT.A FEW LIGHT ANOMOLIES WERE SEEN IN THE HEDGE LINE DOWN TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL IN THE FIELD WE WERE & A COUPLE OF SHADOWS IN THE FIELD OPPOSITE(WHEN THE TORCH WAS SHONE ON THESE SHADOWS THERE WAS NOTHING THERE TO SUGGEST WHAT WAS CREATING THESE SHADOWS).WE MADE OUR WAY DOWN THE HEDGE LINE TOWARDS THE BASE OF THE HILL WHERE SOME OF THE SCOTS WERE SLAIN IN THE BOGGY MARSH,NOW DRAINED OFF WITH A STREAM,
AND WALKED ALONG THE PATH TOWARDS THE CENTRE OF THE BATTLE FIELD.BRANXTON HILL IS WHERE THE SCOTS SET UP THEIR ATTACK POINT,QUITE A STEEP HILL BY THE WAY,.WE STOPPED AT A GATE NEXT TO A TREE & LISTENED,ONE OR TWO NOISES & LIGHTS WERE SEEN & HEARD.ON OUR WAY BACK I STOPPED TO TAKE A LEAK & SAW WHAT LOOKED LIKE A FIGURE DISAPPEAR DOWN TOWARDS THE STREAM NEAR THE GATE WHERE WE HAD JUST COME FROM.
WE MADE OUR WAY BACK UP TOWARDS THE MONUMENT FOLLOWING THE TRACTOR TRACKS IN THE CROPS & SOULSEEKER INFORMED US THAT 200 SOULS WERE FOLLOWING US .THE TRIGGER OBJECT WAS STILL AS IT WAS LEFT SO NO MOVEMENT THERE,SHADOWS WHERE STILL IN THE FIELD NEXT DOOR.
THEN WE MADE OUR WAY TO BRANXTON CHURCH & TOOK A WALK ROUND THE GRAVE YARD & CHURCH YARD BUT ALL WAS PEACEFUL HERE.
MADE OUR WAY HOME AT 2:30am approx
What has been mentioned since the visit was what hooves were heard in the next field to us that night,was it ghostly horses or something else, where the shadows were seen
Another thing that has come up on analizing photographs taken on the 23rd April visit,on one or two of them taken in Branxton churchyard orbs could be seen.
WELL WHAT CAN I SAY,WE WALKED FOR A COUPLE OF MILES UP HILL & THROUGH A WOOD TO REACH THIS SITE & THERE PERCHED AT THE EDGE OF A CRAGG WAS THIS SPECTACULAR SITE IN OUR TORCH LIGHTS.THE FRONT DOOR HAD BEEN BRICKED UP AT ONE POINT BUT SOMEONE HAD TAKEN THESE AWAY FOR ACCESS,THE BASEMENT WAS FULL OF LARGE PIECES OF STONE & WHAT LOOKS LIKE CANNON TROLLEYS(TWO OF THEM)THE BELL WAS RUNG AT THIS POINT BUT NO ORBS OR FEELING WAS .
TO THE SIDE OF THE MAIN DOOR WAY IS A SPIRAL STAIRCASE WHICH LEADS TO THREE MORE LEVELS BUT ONLY THE FIRST FLOOR LEVEL IS ACCESSIBLE.WE WENT TO THE FIRST FLOOR LEVEL & STARTED TO TAKE PHOTOS(TO BE ANALIZED) THEN TRIED A GLASS EXPERIMENT BUT NOTHING CAME THROUGH.ONE OR TWO NOISES WERE HEARD BUT COULD NOT ESTABLISH WHAT THEY WERE.THE FEELING HERE SEEMS TO BE QUITE CALM.A PHOTO WAS TAKEN OF THE NEXT FLOOR UP WHICH LOOKED LIKE A FACE,& AFTER THAT I COULD NOT TURN OFF THE CAMERA OFF WITHOUT OPENING THE BATTERY CASE. .STRANGE
WE ALSO VISITED THE CAPON TREE OUTSIDE JEDBURGH WHICH IS THE LAST OF THE JEDFOREST TREES & WHERE PEOPLE WERE HUNG HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO.
NOT MUCH HAPPENED HERE APART FROM THE ODD CAR ROLLING BY NOW & AGAIN,PHOTOS WERE TAKEN WHICH ARE BEING LOOKED AT.PRETTY QUIET.
PHOTOS WERE FRUITLESS SADLY.
OUR HOUR LONG INVESTIGATION WASN'T VERY EVENTFUL BUT WE STILL CANNOT GET THE KEY TO GAIN ACCESS TO THIS SITE.
THE REQUESTS FOR ANY SPIRITS TO GIVE US A SIGN AT THE CRYPT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL,THE REQUEST FOR A SIGN AT FRONT DOOR WAS ALSO UNSUCCESSFUL.A FOX YELPING IN THE NIGHT WAS A BIT OF A SCARY INCIDENT BUT THAT WAS IT.
ON OUR WAY BACK FROM PREVIOUS LOCATION WE PAID A VISIT TO A LOCAL 17th CENTURY TOWER THIS IS HOW WE GOT ON.
FIRST PORT OF CALL WAS THE BASEMENT/KITCHEN AREA,THE CANDLES WERE LIGHTEN & WE ASKED ANY SPIRITS PRESENT IF THEY COULD BLOW THEM OUT.THERE WERE A FEW FLICKERS BUT NO CANDLES OUT.
NEXT WAS THE FIRST FLOOR WHERE WE SET UP THE MOTION SENSOR NEXT TO ONE OF THE CANDLES,THE SENSOR DID GO OFF ON REQUEST & WAS RESET AGAIN,A COUPLE OF MINUTES LATER IT WENT OFF AGAIN WITHOUT ASKING.THIS WAS A SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT FOR US AS THE SENSOR WENT OFF FIVE TIMES IN TOTAL.THE CHECKS WERE DONE BY US TO MAKE SURE WE DID NOT TRIGGER IT OURSELVES.I HAD AN EXPERIENCE DURING THE SENSOR EXPERIMENT WHERE I HAD THE FEELING OF BEING JABBED WITH A SMALL NEEDLE ON MY BUTT TWICE & SOMETHING BRUSHING MY HEAD.
BACK DOWN TO BASEMENT & THE CANDLES WERE EXTINGUISHED FOR THE FINAL TESTS.THE SENSOR WAS PLACED NEXT TO THE DICTAPHONE ON WINDOW LEDGE BUT DID NOT GO OFF AGAIN & NOTHING UNUSUAL WAS PICKED UP ON THE DICTAPHONE.ONE OF OUR TEAM DID SEE A SMALL LIGHT ANOMOLY BUT NO-ONE ELSE DID HOWEVER ANOTHER MEMBER DID HEAR LEAVES RUSTLING IN THE AREA OF THE LIGHT ANOMOLY JUST AFTER IT HAD BEEN SEEN. TIME WAS CALLED AT 12:05AM
Flodden Battlesite,Branxton (9/9/1513) 09/09/05
We arrived at the battlefield carpark just after 9pm and the weather has not let up all day,it is absolutely poaring down and the wind is blowing fairly hard,we must be mad going ahead with this investigation but it has been planned since we were last here on the 23rd april 2005.
First stop is a visit to the monument,situated at the top of the hill, to pay our respects and gather our thoughts before we begin.It is pitch black and the torches can only pick up the rain as it blows in front of us.
Next we make our way down the right side of the field towards the gate at the bottom.We turn right here to head towards a group of derelict buildings.Our torches picked up on a bunch of flies outside this cottage which was weird due to the weather .The front door of the cottage was blowing slightly open and closed again.One of our crew was heading for the door at the time and when this was pointed out to them they took off in the opposite direction in fright,what a facial expession i have to say .
On entering the cottage we walked into the living room,with torches off we asked for any spirits to make themselves known but no signs whatsoever.Then we walked into the other front room and asked for any signs,two knocks came from the living room area which we later tracked down to floor boards being knocked on.No-one else was in that part of the cottage so no reason was given for the sound .
At this point we decided to end the investigation due to the provailing wind and rain.
It is easy to imagine the sad sight that must have been seen in the dark after the battle all those years ago as we made our way up the path towards the car park.
As we sat in our cars unwinding with a cup of coffee the motion sensor went off in my bag in the back of my car,what a fright ! ! ! ! !.Cannot find a reason why it should have gone off though
We all made our own ways home at 12:15am
Local 17th Century tower 30/09/05
This really wasn't an investigation as such this time,we decided to try out our new additions to our ghost hunting kit.Two camcorders with night vision and a dowsing crystal.
The crystal needs a bit more tuning into before we go any further with it so that was that.
Thirty minutes of footage was taken & examined at home late last night into this morning and we seem to have a few unexplained visual anomolies which will be rechecked.Exited we are
This site never lets us down and that is why we came here to try out the new equipment
It really is a ghost hunters must visit site,WE LOVE IT
Wind was fairly strong,temp 10.5 degrees c.Rain held off.
