Welcome to Scottish Reptile Rescue's home page.
On this site you will find out more about us and what we do, see pictures of any reptiles that have come into our care for one reason or another, also you can contact us with even the silliest of questions, all contact will be dealt with in the stictest of confidence and you can rest assured that any information you are given can be trusted.
As a couple, we have kept reptiles for over 15 years, everything from small anoles to iguana's and from garter snakes to large boa's and pythons, with a little of everything in between. As well as this we have kept many domestic animals, cats, dogs, chinchilla's, birds etc etc.
So all in all, we are knowledgable in many areas, we do not claim to be experts, or know EVERYTHING there is to know, with animals of any species there is always more to learn. This is why we are constantly reading into new things, new ways of doing things or new equipment available to us to make the animals lives better and our job that bit easier.
Our Rescue is newly started as we live in an area that reptile keeping is becoming more popular and unfortunately, there are no facilities near to us that can help when people are in a difficult position and cannot, for one reason or another, keep their pets. We are doing this purely off of our own backs, no help from anyone else to set-up, therefor, any donations of any sort of equipment are greatly appreciated and welcomed, however small.
We aim to be able to provide people in Scotland with a reliable Rescue where, even if they do not want to rehome their pets, they can get advice, information or just a chat about their pet.
We will consider everyones situation as to why they are having to rehome their animal and do our best to assist you, regardless of what the situation is!!!
We are hoping to be able to provide a boarding service in the near future to eleviate the pressure of finding someone to look after you reptile so that you can have a well deserved break, when this facility is available we will update the site as necessary!
