Josh made the final (and only 2nd "real") appearance in the Late Model on Saturday at Waynesfield Raceway Park. He started the evening in his true form and pulled a 60 for the heat race. This started him on the tail of his heat. He was able to work his way up to 5th and a transfer spot to the feature! He started the feature in 13th position and there were a few issues with cars at the beginning that he was able to avoid...once the race got going it was caution free. He got out of the groove and dropped back to 16th but then had worked his way back up to passing for 10th when he got chopped down into an infield tire...he kept control and was able to hold on for a 12th place finish. He looked great and is getting better each time he straps in to the late model. Scott Family Racing will be going for rookie of the year at Oakshade Raceway in 2010 in the late model division.
This weekend will be iffy based on workloads and Mother Nature...although at this point it looks like the 11js, 15l and 34s bombers may all be in competition at Oakshade next weekend for the $1,000 to win bomber spectacular.
The 11js bomber is for sale. The front clip has been bent, but was professionallly straightened at KK Collision (in Liberty Center). It is still a quick car! This car comes complete with everything except the exhaust, motor and bell housing. It has a flater rear end with Winter hubs, Howe 2 to 1 quickener. It is a 104" wheel base with all brand new swedge tubes. We also have another car for sale - it was ran on asphalt but can be easily converted to an Oakshade bomber. It is a three link with both springs behind the rear end. It has a brand new body, front and rear nose cones, all new shocks, springs and suspension parts. It has a Chevelle front clip on it, 2x3 main fram and 1 3/4 cage. Both cars have dual master cylinders. Both cars come with everything we have for bombers.
