Welcome to Scotch Tapes... the worst hi-tech music label ever!
Scotch Tapes is a "Tape Only" label. We showcase the very best in experimental music. Noise, Ambient, Drone, Glitch, 8-Bit, basically anything that you would never hear on the radio or stuff that we like such as hardcore and indie. Each release is ultra limited (99 copies or less... usually) and comes with cool, original and, in most cases, handmade packaging.
Started in the fall of 2008, Scotch Tapes has quickly made a name for itself by being prolific and by putting out great music. Oct.8/ 2009 marked the 1st anniversary for Scotch and Year Two looks amazing with releases from Oneida, Our Love Will Destroy The World, Karl Blau and many other great bands sceduled.
Although Scotch Tapes is a tape label, no less than 4 vinyl/ lathe cut releases are slated for '09 by bands like My Cell Phone is Better Than Your Cell Phone, Endometrium Cuntplow, al Qaeda, Sunken Landscapes and Tayside Mental Health. 2010 will see lathe/ vinyl releases from the likes of We All Inherit The Moon, No Cars, Richard Ramirez, Dental Work, Plastic Crimewave Sound, Greenmist and others...
