Welcome to my new Website!
My name is Carolyn Wolfe, although I have gone by other names, Carolyn Overington and Carolyn Edmonds are my other incarnations! and I am a free- lance writer and poet and my first poetry book has been published through Publish America! The book is titled "When The Moon Speaks" and is available online and also locally in bookstores, located in Winchester Virginia (please see book ordering info for more details). I wanted to give kudos to my publisher who is PublishAmerica, they are a publisher who welcomes and really works with new authors and I am grateful for their support. I wanted to make a note that this is not a self publishing arrangement, although I am totally for self-publishing and may consider that for my children's books that I am currently writing. However, I encourage all new authors or aspiring authors to go to their site- Publishamerica .com and see for yourself just how really helpful and supportive they are.
Just a little about myself, I am free-lance writer always open to new writing assignments, a poet, an animal advocate, a vegetarian, and live in the Shenandoah Valley with my husband, Scott and our many animal friends. My poems are eclectic and have been compiled from over thirty years of my life, from College days to the New Millenium. It is about magic, nature, politics and a bit of philosophy thrown in for good measure. I hope you enjoy it. If interested, just contact me and I will give you a bit more details. Thanks for visiting and please sign my guest book
This is also a wonderful site for all Virginia writers to get the word out about their book and I recommend it highly!

- April 4th 2009
The Poetry Reading Event was wonderful and I would say it was a great success since everyone had a good time. The music, the food, the company and the poetry were all so terrific! The open mic really brought out some wonderful new voices, some students who broke your heart with the beauty of their poetry, some "closet" poets who had finally decided to share their work and we were so glad they did!
- Chris and Charlene, the owners of The Book Of Knowledge Bookstore, were gracious, and generous hosts and the food they provided was delicious. So was the evening. Thank you for all who participated and I hope to see everyone again in June 2009 for the next open mic nite at The Book of Knowledge!
Writers Group In Winchester:
For anyone interested, I am trying to form a Winchester, VA based writer's group that I would like to call "The Voices of Old Towne" I am looking into a bi-weekly or monthly meeting place and this group would participate in open mic readings, meet and share their work, and help and support each other in all types of writing pursuits. Sharing market ideas, finding illustrators, talking about publishing, marketing, all these would be good topics for the group. If anyone is interested please email me at: wolfecarolyn@yahoo.com.
If you would like to contact me, the best and easiest way to do that is to email me at: wolfecarolyn@yahoo.com. Look forward to hearing from you and would love comments and critiques.
Just a quick note: my book was released in November 2007 and is now available! Anyone who is interested in learning more about my work and how to order the book, please click on the "book order info" tab and it will give you order information, the press release article and price info.
Thanks again for all your interest and support!
