News

30.6.2009:

Here's the report of the Jämsä gig as promised:

It was a bit rainy night, not very warm. Me and my friend we went in front of the stage about an hour before the gig because naturally we wanted the best possible view. I saw many fans were already in place, some of which i know pretty well, incl. a_Sniper and ThiefRaider. You might know these guys if you have visited Scooter related sites etc. Both are very good friends of mine and have been fans for years. I also met Sbetsho and noticed acid_bomb.

So anyway, after a long wait (the band was late about 20 minutes) they finally came to stage and you could instantly feel the great energy and power in the crowd. It was great. I'll tell you, one of the best times in my life was seeing Scooter live again. And it had been some time since RMJ 2005.

As the gig advanced, more and more people were trying to get as front as possible so it was kinda tight. I was trying to stay were i was and at some same time taking pictures of the band. Not easy but i managed. I would have wanted to hear more of 2nd chapter tracks and of course the legendary "Move Your Ass!" but it's great that Scooter can lift the atmosphrere with newer stuff too. I don't know what else to tell you. You really have to experience Scooter yourself. i hope to see the band again as soon as possible. It's worth it!

Tracklist and some pictures:

2.3.2009:

There's a video on Youtube where the guys are telling that they are working on the new album. It might be out in September or possibly next year. And it will be more powerful and no jumpstyle, which is good in my opinion. Check it:

NEW SINGLE OUT NOW!

15.9.2008:

Alright crew! Here's some news for yah:

"September 26th sees the maybe most unbelievable collaboration in music history: Scooter team up with UK rock legends Status Quo to release their version of "Jump That Rock (Whatever You Want)" - and this one is a real blast! But that's not all, because one week later, on October 3rd, there will be the release of an extended version of the album "Jumping All Over The World".
This extended version, called "Jumping All Over The World - Whatever You Want" will be released in three different set-ups. The standard version includes all tracks from "Jumping All Over The World" plus seven "Hands On Scooter" bonus tracks. These tracks are reinterpret Scooter songs performed by well known artists such as the Bloodhound Gang. There will also be a second disc with the greatest Scooter tracks of all time, the new single together with Status Quo and another bonus track.
The premium version offers, next to the two CDs from the standard version, a DVD with Scooter "Live From Berlin", recorded on August 1st 2008. The third set-up, called deluxe edition, is a must-have for all fans and will only be sold at selected stores. Next to the two CDs and the live DVD there will be another DVD with all previous music videos, a limited fan t-shirt and a signed autograph card.
"

So watch out!

9.9 was my birthday. It looks like i'm 22 now. Well, still young, haha...

14.8.2008:

3.12.2006:

I have now seen the first live performance of the new Scooter-single "Behind The Cow", and i must say this track rocks! The rapping c-part of the track is a bit suprising, and i have never liked hip-hop much, but somehow it fits into the song. What more can i say? "This is the legend...BEHIND THE COW!"

29.11.2006:

Scooter just performed live at Chicago. They did not presented the new single so watch out for the Dome on 1.12.2006. You can watch the show from the german tv-channel RTL II. Jay Frog has left Scooter to focus in his solo-projects. The new member will be Michael Simon. This is a huge suprise and also a bit sad, because they have made so many great tracks with Jay. However, now it will be interesting to see what kind of music can be expected in the future. Wel already know that the new single will be released in next month. Anyway, i want to thank Jay for these years with the band and i wish all the best for him.

And here's some news:

Scooter played  "Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss" at the concert of Bloodhound Gang last week. They also presented "Apache Rocks the Bottom" there.
So, it is a mix between "Apache" & "Rock The Bottom". The sample of "Explode" has been replaced by the one of "Apache" & there's a totally new synth attack in it with a few more lyrics. No more "rotter rotter dam dam" & "dup dup dup".

DJ Aligator gave an interview at Channel PEN at 02.12 He Said that DJ Aligator & Scooter will make a shared work soon. May be it will be a track of Scooter remixed by DJ Aligator or duo. But Scooter is currently busy so this is planned for future.

Also there has been some rumours that the next single would be "Apache Rocks The Bottom" or something like that. But this too is not sure. Anyway, the release date is 30.12.2005!

The ex-Scooter-member Axel Coon will soon release a new single called "3rd Base". I am looking forward to this since his last two solo-singles "Close To You" and "Lamenting City" were great."

The Official Scooter Site is back but the forum is still down. However, expect it to return shortly. The following text is taken from the Official Scooter Site http://www.scootertechno.com :

Finally the website is online again after a serious hardware problem. But a few features still don't work. That's why the forum isn't available yet. But we promise, that these problems will be fixed as soon as possible, too.

On the other side, we will show you the cover and the tracklist of the new single "Hello! (Good To Be Back)" this week. You will also get the first soundfiles.

But we do have some other important news for you:
The concert scheduled to take place in Bydgosczc (Poland) this Thursday has been cancelled.  The local organisers were unable to  fulfil certain technical requirements in the Utschnichka arena.  Under these circumstances, the concert cannot go ahead. Sorry!

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more. Yaah!

16.9.2005:

Here's some recent news:

The Official Scooter Site is down due some errors. I have heard that it will be back online sometime next week. Let's hope for the best.

"Hello (Good To Be Back) (Promo Vinyl)" can be ordered at http://www.recess.nl/info.asp?info=24524 and there are also two samples availeble. The vinyl tracklist is the following: 01.Hello (Good To Be Back) (Extended) 02. Hello (Good To Be Back) (Club Mix). Tracklist of the CD-release is not in knowledge yet.

And some of my thought about the vinyl. I have heard both tracks full lenght and i must say they are awesome. The new single will surely be one of the best. And as some of you might already know it's a cover of Gary Glitter's track "Hello! Hello! (I'm Back Again)" which is also a good one. The Original track was released back in 1973 i think.

And last, the tracklist of the Chicago concert:

01. Intro
02. Maria (I like It Loud)
03. Weekend!
04. I'm Raving
05. No Fate
06. Shake That!
07. How Much Is the Fish?
08. Call Me Manana
09. Ramp (The Logical Song)
10. Faster Harder Scooter
11. Nessaja
12. Hello! (Good to Be Back)
13. One (Always Hardcore)
14. Fire
15. Jigga Jigga!
16. Move Your Ass

9.9.2005:

1.7.2005:

I promised a report and here it is!

A report about Scooter live @ Rauma, Finland 25.6.2005 written by H.T.J.V. a.k.a. Dave From Sheffield!

Since before 25.6.2005 it was a long time we did not see Scooter in Finland. As i recall they last visited here

back in 2001. 4 long years of waiting ended when i read at the official RMJ-site that Scooter would be live

on stage there. Well i was so happy when i found that out and naturally i bougth tickets to that event right away.

After all...what would a real Scooter-gig in Finland be without the biggest finnish Scooter-fan ever standing in the audience

... Heheheh.... just kidding!

So...finally the day i was waited for years arrived and me and a friend of mine went to Rauma. There were lots of great performers

and so but i was there only for one thing...Scooter! They supposed to start the show at 22:30 but for some reason they were late

and the show did not began untill 22:50 if i remember correctly. Anyway that little delay was nothing... finally Scooter came at the

stage and the crowd was crazy. You could really see that Scooter is still popular in Finland. There were so many people that they had

to close the Mecano Beach-area, where Scooter was. Luckely i got there on time or else i perhaps would have missed to show.

Here the tracklist of the gig. All tracks are in correct order if...i think:

01.We Like It Loud-intro+Maria (I Like It Loud)

02.Weekend!

03.I'm Raving

04.Habanera+Call Me Mañana

05.No Fate

06.Shake That!

07.How Much Is The Fish?

08.Nessaja

09.Faster Harder Scooter

10.Ramp! (The Logical Song)

11.One (Always Hardcore)

12.Endless Summer

13.Jigga Jigga!

So there are the tracks. I am 100% happy about the gig but i would have wanted for Scooter to play Fire, Posse (I Need You On The Floor)

and the latest single Suavemente. Well anyway the main thing is that Scooter really came to Finland. I personally love each and every

Scooter-track so it's alright what they play.

And i can't find the words to say how great the concert was. It was so awesome! The think the best performance was with One (Always Hardcore)

which is also together with Posse (I Need You On The Floor) my favorite single. Hm...there's not much more i can tell you all about the gig.

It was cool and i wish Scooter will be here again soon! Perhaps next summer...who knows! Some pictures can he found at the following links:

Here's some latest info about former Scooter-member Axel Coon:

In early 2005, Stacccato met Axel Coon during the "Future Trance" club tour. Axel is well-known as former member of German dance sensation Scooter. He’s currently working on a solo career. Stacccato and Blue Nature liked Axel Coon and his work from the start and so they asked him to join Rumble! as a full team member.
Their cooperation lead to the new single "Tricky Tricky", featuring the trademark voice of MC Dick Rules. The vinyl is already out at "Mental Madness Records"!

Tracklist of Rumble's "Tricky Tricky":
A1: X-tended Mixx (07:44)
B1: Hard Club Mix (05:24)
B2: DJ The Flow vs. Freddy Fader remix (07:33)

Congratulations to Axel, who finally find the new band!

Taken from http://www.scooter-planet.net

And here's a nice interview with Scooter:

Interview with Scooter in the hotel, before their concert in Budapest by Hank & -SP-

Have you ever thought about a great trance DJ/Band making a remix for you? (Cosmic Gate, Blank & Jones…)
Rick: Well, we already had a few really well known DJs who made remixes for us... like the english Flip&Fill, or at Shake That CJ Stone and Steve Murano... so, we don't know yet.

Many say that Rick and Jay has been pushed into the background recently. Why?
H.P.: Pushed in the background?
Rick: OK, that is because there is always this thing in the band-
H.P.: I didn't notice that... but it would be nice.

Rick: You know, if you got someone, to keep a group on the stage, you have to concentrate on him. But like in the beginning, the people didn't recognize Scooter as a band. Overall, it's a normal thing.

Many of your fans raised his / her voice against the fact that all tracks on Mind The Gap contains samples or melodies from other artists. They ask why don't you create 100% own tracks?
Rick: Well, we are not a rock band. And techno and electronic music, especially our style was always been like a... "collage".
H.P.: Yes, and it's in the tradition of the KLF, which was the first real techno act, that really worked like "puzzled", they connected the songs which are not usual to this kind of music, to techno music. And that was in the beginning, when we started, there was many track we liked, also from other artist such as Elvis Presley...

We often see Rick logged in on the Official Scooter Forum. Why don't you ever post?
Rick: Well it's not like-
H.P.: He's all the time on the forum, that's the reason why he never works!

Rick: You see if you answer one question, you'll have to answer all, or people will be disappointed that you didn't answer for all, and we don't have much time to read everything what's going on in the Forum. You see we need inspiration time for new songs, some spare private time... so we don't have much time, but I'd answer if I had.

As for "All I Wanna Do", was it just a flashback to your old style, or do you have plans with happyhardcore? Since HHC is growing in England, and we all know H.P.'s hobby is England, do you have plans with returning to happyhardcore style, and what does it mean that the new album will contain hardcore elements, and that it will be much harder than Mind The Gap?
Rick: Well it was just a kind of what we try to achieve, we don't have master plans with the style. The new album is in production... you can say we have to do it hard, but we may don't go that way to make it hard. I think it will be harder than the last one, but I still can't promise.
H.P.: Cause there's not one song finished now. Maybe we'll have 10 ballads on it!

Will you put Nikk's vocals into your tracks again in the future?
Rick: This always depends on the song. If we find a melody that fits to her voice, we shall do it, or else we take the "Mickey Mouse" from myself.

Why don't you create the single B-sides longer, about 6 or 7 minutes, so they can be released on vinyl, like in the case of Suavemente/Trance Atlantic, so trance DJs could play them?
Jay: That's because of the rules of the maximum lenght of Maxi CDs in Germany. You can't get over 21 minutes on the CD, otherwise it would be much more expensive.
H.P.: Yeah we have a limit. But on vinyl... I think that's no limited.
Jay: Vinyl is never a problem, but we never used to put the B-sides
on the vinyl…

H.P., We heard that you are in very good friendship with Till Lindemann, the frontman of Rammstein. Have you thought about making a single together?
H.P.: Ah, it's not that good friendship you know, we got to know him once during the PopCom, and also the other guys from Rammstein. They were very nice, we had a few drinks together. So far, not really... those things just happen sometimes, but everyone does his own stuff. So, you can never know but it's not planned really.

Are you planning tracks in the future where H.P.'s vocals are NOT distorted?
H.P.: Yeah, OK it's not really distorted, only because of this microphone, whish has a special sound that fits the best I think. And if we have a track where we think it doesn't work, we will use the normal mic again. But so far it was always the best, and we were really happy when we found it a couple of years ago. We always wanted this sound, in the beginning we tried the regular megaphone, it didn't work... then we found this old mic from the 50s, and it was very good.

To Rick, after the show: On the Official Scooter Forum, most of the members gone angry on the release of Shake That! and Suavemente. They say this style doesn't fit Scooter. What's your opinion about this?

Rick: Yes, I know. You know, it was only a kind of experiment. If we would do only such style tracks that the fans want, that would be commercial. We try not to be commercial. If we like something, we try to build it into our own style. I don't say that we love funky and latin styles that much, but it sounded good for us, so we used it. Of course, we would like to continue with our harder style in the future.

18.3.2005:

The following text has been taken from the official Scooter-site http://www.scootertechno.com :

It's official, the latest Scooter album "Mind The Gap" has reached gold status. H.P., Rick and Jay thank all the fans for the support. They heard about it at the rehearsals for the Bravosupershow that take place tomorrow. H.P. was very enthusiastic:

"A golden disc is an award by our fans, this is very important for us...!"

!!!Always Hardcore!!!

14.3.2005:

Scooter has been nominated for "Echo 2005" as "best dance act" with "One (Always Hardcore)". If Scooter wins it will be the 3rd time on the road. Also they have been nominated for "TMF NL Award". For more information about these awards please visit:

"Echo 2005": http://www.echo-deutscher-musikpreis.de/

"TMF NL Award": http://www.tmfawards.nl/

Let's keep our fingers crossed for Scooter to win both awards!

9.3.2005:

Today the new Scooter-single "Suavemente" has been released in Finland. More info here:

http://www.edel.fi/album/albumShow.aspx?id=d07d6d73-5e43-4bec-b204-5043d369e45d

Also, Scooter was at Viva-chat today and there were some quite interesting news. After the chat Scooter was at Viva, German music-channel, and there was some information there too.

7.3.2005:

Alright crew! The new Scooter-single "Suavemente" is out! Get yours now!

And here you can read an review of the new single by me:

1.3.2005:

Alright crew! "Scooter-Dave!" has now been one year online. I want to thank everyone who has been visiting at my site and i hope you check it out on regular bases. And please leave a message at the questbook as well. I hope that there will be many years yet to come. THANK YOU!

21.2.2005:

Alright crew! There release date of the new Scooter-single "Suavemente" has been moved to 14.3.2004. And here is possibly the real tracklist:

1. Suavemente (Radio Edit) 03:35
2. Suavemente (Extended) 05:40
3. Suavemente (Club Mix) 06:48
4. Suavemente (Original Club) 03:29
5. Trance-Atlantic (Club Mix) 04:04
6. Suavemente The Video 03:37

Also, the new video is so awesome! I recommed all fans to check it out!

7.2.2005:

Instead of "Stripped" the new Scooter-single will most-likely be called "Suavemente". Here's the information about it:

(!) Scootersingle.

In den Stores: Mo. 07.03.05
Online ab: 21.02.05

Taken from the official Scooter-site http://www.scootertechno.com !

3.2.2005:

A little while ago the tracklist of "One (Always Hardcore) U.K. Release" was put on the internet but it seems to be a fake one. And frackly it must be because "Shake That! U.K. Release" is not out yet so there's no reason to think this yet. I really hope in the future A.A.T.W. will speed up the releasing of U.K. Releases so we wouldn't have to way so long time. Anyway, here's the most-likely fake tracklist of "One (Always Hardcore) U.K. Release":

1. Radio Edit
2. N-Trance Edit
3. Extended Version
4. N-Trance Extended Mix
5. Video

5.1.2005:

Over the past few days, you will all have been following reports about the worsening earthquake / tsunami disaster in South East Asia. More than over 100,000 dead have been recorded in the affected regions around Thailand and Sri Lanka and the number is still rising.

Two years ago a group of German dance artists joined forces to provide aid. That was also for a flood disaster that affected thousands of people -  in Germany. Under the name "Dance United", the group of acts and artists, including ATB, Blank & Jones, Brooklyn Bounce, Scooter and DJs @ Work, collected over EUR 60,000 that certainly represented a valuable contribution to the affected regions.

Now help is needed again and Dance United have reacted fast by reuniting to raise money for the disaster. A track entitled "Heart Of Asia" is currently being produced by Dance United and is expected to raise as much money as its predecessor "Reach Out".

Scooter will do a Remix for the benefit single "help! Asia".
We ask you to support us by buying the track and urge you not to copy it or download it illegally as every cent from the proceeds will help.

More information will follow...

This text is taken from the official Scooter-site http://www.scootertechno.com !

For your reference Dance United are: 4 Clubbers, Aquagen, ATB, Blank & Jones, Brooklyn Bounce, CJ Stone, DJ Dean, DJ Sammy, DJ Shah, DJ Shog, DJs @ Work, DuMonde, Essential DJ-Team, Future Breeze, Gardeweg, Green Court, Jurgen Driessen, Klubbheads, Klubbingman, Oliver Klein, Woody Van Eyden and Scooter.

Alright crew
I am a junglist man
Don`t try to change my plan
Right

Flip that coin, see what you get
It`s MC Dave, who`s on the set
Left,right,left,right
Push up the mic
Four,three stand at ease
Turning forty five degrees
I`m doing it for the massive
I`m doing it for the crew
Going to make you hop and skip around
Like a kangaroo

Get em,get em
When I`m on the mic
When I?m on the mic I rinse out rhythm
Get em,get em
When I`m on the mic
Bring the beat back

Shake that !
Right

We love you lots, ten outta ten
Selector gimme that,a mix and blend
Left,right,left,right
I got the vibe
Four,three come on please
Turning there like killer bees
I`m doing it for the massive
I`m doing it fast or slow
When I`m in charge of the microphone
Watch out I`m about to blow
Get em,get em
When I`m on the mic
Time to inject

Shake that !
Right

I never say no to return to the floor,
your raw
wanna test my crew
you better be sure
here we come straight between the eyes
life without knowledge is death in disguise

shake that !
come on
shake your booty now !
right

AAHH!

Download some Making of "Shake That!"-pictures. They were send to me by a person who is on "Shake That!"-video!

The download section has been re-opened and Scooter Dave has a new adress. Now you can access on this site at http://www.scooter-dave.tk or the old link http://www.freewebs.com/scooterdave !

19.9.2004:

Great news! You can download "Shake That!"-video at http://www.shefftunes.tk !

And here's some more thoughts about "Shake That!":

When i first  heard the new Scooter-single "Shake That!" i was quite amazed and a little bit shocked. I thought it would be one of those nice trance-tracks, like "Jigga Jigga!" was. But no! It's Disco House! At first i didn't really like it so much but after listening it a couple of times i started to like it more and more. And after seeing the video yesterday i must say that this single rocks big time. It's not the best but still great. And the new b-side "Suffix" is one of the best b-sides ever. And maybe the best track on that single. Here's a review i wrote yesterday at Suomi24.fi:

http://keskustelu.suomi24.fi/show.fcgi?category=124&conference=4500000000000152&posting=22000000004692399

(Only in finnish!)

18.9.2004:

"Shake That!" will be released on three versions. Here's the traclistings for them.

Papp-version:
1. Radio Version 03:18
2. Extended Version 05:03

MAXI-version:
1. Radio Version 03:17
2. Extended Version 05:03
3. Clubmix 05:28
4. CJ Stone Mix 06:36
5. Suffix (B-Side) 02:55

Limited Edition:
1. Radio Version 03:18
2. Extended Version 05:03
3. Steve Murano Mix 06:15
4. Klubbheads Klubb Dub 03:17
5. Hyper Hyper Re-Edit (Live) 06:10

And it seems that the release date of "Mind The Gap" has been moved to 8.11.2004. It also will be released on three versions. And according to some fans De Luxe Edition will include bonus-cd with some extra-tracks and a 72-pages booklet. Sounds interesting indeed. Here's the three versions:

SCOOTER MIND THE GAP-REGULAR VERSION
SCOOTER MIND THE GAP-DE LUXE VERSION
SCOOTER MIND THE GAP-BASIC VERSION

Other news: Some designs at Scooter Dave has been chanced.

17.9.2004:

Here's the official tracklist of "Shake That!":

1. Shake That - Radio edit (3:19)
2. Shake That - Club mix (5:30)
3. Shake That - Extended (5:05)
4. Suffix (2:54)

My thoughts: I was hoping that the length of Club Mix and B-side would have been longer. And it seems that remixed which will be made by CJ Stone, Klubbheadz and Steve Murano, will be included on the "Shake That! Limited Edition". It will be released at the same time as the "Normal Edition."
