BIOGRAPHY: A large, clumsy great dane, Scooby serves as the canine mascot of Mystery, Inc. Known to be afraid of ghosts, zombies, mummies, and even his own shadow, he always manages to come through for the gang, usually with the encouragement of a Scooby Snack, whenever they need him! A gluttonous eater, Scooby will usually devour just about any food you give him! However, buried deep under that giant-sized stomach of his, you'll find Scooby truly has a heart of gold and can teach us all a lesson about loyalty to one's friends!
NORVILLE "SHAGGY" ROGERS

BIOGRAPHY: A gluttonous eater like Scooby, Shaggy mysteriously has remained lanky for all these years and never gained a pound! In fact, that may be one of Mystery, Inc.'s most puzzling mysteries! However, he, along with his best pal, Scoob, is always finding himself being chased by monsters, which probably explains ability to eat as he does. He also shares another characteristic with Scooby: cowardliness. Known for his "zoinks" catchphrase, he'll run away from any monster you throw at him! However, no matter how scared he is, he'll always put his fear aside and come through for the gang when they need him.
FRED JONES

OCCUPATION: leader of the gang, driver of the Mystery Machine, trap creator

BIOGRAPHY: Fred may not have the quickest mind on Earth, but he still exhibits superior sleuthing skills. He also shows great imagination when he creates a trap for the monster in each episode. They may not always work, but they do prove to be...interesting. As the leader of the gang, he usually announces their next move. He also drives the Mystery Machine, to which he is very attached. His one flaw is his translating skills. He always seems to mistranslate whatever the gang is told when they're vacationing in foreign countries. Despite that, he still has a pretty good brain in his skull. Don't hire him as a rocket scientist or a nuclear physicist, but give him a mystery and he'll solve it!
DAPHNE BLAKE
AGE: sixteen years old

OCCUPATION: glamorous teen detective, local millionaire's daughter, and danger-prone member of the gang

BIOGRAPHY: Whether it's falling through a trap door, or getting kidnapped by the monster, Daphne has somehow managed to always be in constant jeopardy, earning her the nickname Danger-Prone Daphne. However, she does play an important role: the glamour of the gang. She's always concerned about how she looks, whether it's hair, shoes, skirt...you name it! However, she's got a brain under that red head of hers! She's also the only member of the gang with the ability to surf! Her father, Mr. Blake, is a successful local millionaire. It's commonly explained that it's because of his wealth that the gang is able to globetrot as they do. In some ways, Daphne is a good role model. No matter how many times she gets captured by the bad guy, she's always willing to help the gang solve another case!
VELMA DINKLEY
AGE: sixteen
HEIGHT: four feet and nine inches tall

HAIR: dark brown

OCCUPATION: super-smart, brainy teenage sleuth

BIOGRAPHY: Rumored to speak every language in the world, Velma is one smart teenager. Whether it's a zombie haunting a spooky bog, or a werewolf hiding out at an abandoned factory, she can solve it! Known for her black, thick-rimmed eyeglasses and orange turtleneck sweater, she has proven to be the real brains behind the success of the gang. Her one characteristic that contrasts with the rest of her personality is her commom utterance of her made-up word, "Jinkies." With a brain that's faster than a super-computer, there's no clue she can't find, no matter how hidden it may be. She is truly the embodiment of intelligence.
