Photo Manipulations
My first attempt at Photoshopping Elf ears on a person... The wonderful model is my girlfriend Claire.
This
is an attempt at making rays of light on a picture. I had been
experimenting a lot with lighting. I really liked this effect, think it
turned out good. Once again, the model shown is Claire.
In this shot I wanted to make the focus on Claire, so I made the
background blur. But I didn't want it to blur in a "blah" fashion, I
wanted to have better effects with it. This is the finished product.

Claire gave me a request that she wanted a picture of her to look like
the way a character's picture looks in the opening titles of the show
"Firefly". The character is usually kinda grainy, with a duo-tone
effect going on, or a burnt effect. I tried to manipulate this picture
the best way I could to match that.

I had to do a project for my digital art class that involved using brushes in Photoshop. I came up with the concept for this work because 1) I really like drawing effects in Photoshop, and 2) I had motivation from this music video, done by the group A-Ha. It was done back in the 80's, but I really liked this video. You can view it
here. Anyways, with that mindset, I churned out these works.
This shot was taken by my friend Ted. He wanted it to look like he was pulling off some sort of video game special move, and he added in a glowball effect. I added in the lightning, and the blue haze that you see around him.

The following is an effect that I learned from a Photoshop effects book, and I expanded upon the technique a bit. I took this shot in Disney World last summer. I wanted to make a fantasy-like image... So I made it look like the theme park was going through a blizzard. We all know of course that Orlando FL does NOT have blizzards. So here is the original pic and the final product, for your comparison pleasures.

Planets
Lately I have been making
planets and such in Photoshop for my upcoming Star Wars story. These
are two prototype planet designs I have done for the firey planet that
will be in the story. I think the final product I want is a mixture of
these two planets. (The planet on the right is wallpaper sized.)

Also, I did some work
for a fellow artist making fanfilms. I did the logo and the Yoda coming out of
the logo for him. You can view the clip here.
