Veritas e Vida

I'm someone, just like you, trying to make it from day to day. I go to high school full-time, college part-time, and now I'm working at Walgreens. It's a pretty busy life. Not as fulfilling as, say, nursing cholera patients in Africa, but it keeps me active. One of my favourite pastimes in life is being OCD. Not really. One of my annoyances that comes with this affliction is making lists. Lists upon lists and I never get anything done because of it. So here, in the form of my dementia, lists of me.

My New Year's Resolutions (because everyone needs to be reminded how bad they are at keeping these) (by the way, my new year is always the new school year because time is simply an illusion) (mostly):
1. Oldy, but a goody- lose weight. Ok. Not necessairly that. More or less tone up. That's always important. As my mother keeps reminding me, she was six months pregnant when she weighed as much as I do now- which can mean she was either anorexic when she got pregnant or I was an anorexic fetus-which I was actaully at 4lbs, 5oz born a month early. Puns aside, it still jabs my pride a bit, so I must go through with it. Of course, any young woman of today, who sits on her ass all day doing absolutely nothing, weighing in at 128 pounds is FAT. Alright, that was sarcastic, but whatever. Society rules on this one.
2. This goes along with number 1- get in shape. I already know I have a shape, being square or "athletic" as girly magazines put it, so it's really just a matter of transferring over being a rectangle. I'd like to be able to run a mile without having to stop and try to breathe every 30 seconds.
3. Do not date any egotistical, narcissitic, sex-driven, overly emotional, clinically insane or stupid, masochistic, gay, vengeful, alcholic, illegal drug adddicted, cowardly, cheating, back-stabbing, and/or rape-prone "boys." It is sad that I have to include every one of those characteristics because I've dated every one of them. Must improve romantic radar.
