High Seas and Free Trade

In order to assure free enterprise and free trade, Schwerdt strongly endorses an open high seas policy for all vessels, merchant, military, and private. Schwerdtan state policy has, for some time, been to guarantee free shipping on the high seas for all nations. Schwerdt invites other nations to join in supporting this universal guarantee.

As economies become more global, Schwerdt encourages nations to review trade policies and become signatories to less restrictive trade agreements. The Alliance for Combined Trade and Defense (ACT-D) is one such agreement that Schwerdt was an initial signatory to. Membership in the World Economic Organisation is another means of achieving global free enterprise.

Interfering in any way with the commerce or trade of Schwerdt or its constituents will be perceived in a negative light.
