Spheres of Influence

Schwerdt recognises that states have an interest in areas outside of their own territory within which events may directly impact the state. This is the principle of "spheres of influence." Typically, spheres of influence are regions on the frontier of the state.

While true for Schwerdt, there are additional areas which Schwerdt has particular interest in. Notable among these is the unincorporated middle island in the Cisteuvian Ocean chain just off Turia's eastern coast. Schwerdt also has interest in the stability of Medinat Tzion and the sovereignty of Attica and Itza, all areas of recent turmoil.

By extension of its economic and diplomatic interests, Schwerdt has an interest in the general well-being of nations it has relations with. Particularly included are those nations which Schwerdt regards as its closest friends and which it views as most favored nations in the realm of international trade.
