FOURTH GRADE

    The fourth graders will be visiting the Science Center of Iowa on Tuesday, May 20.  We will leave at 7:45 and return around 5:00.  We will need two or three drivers.
    The cost is $8.00 per pupil.  Drivers are free, but other adults need to pay $9.00.  If you send a check, make it out to me as I will be writing one check for the entire amount.
    The Science Center tends to be chilly, so dress accordingly.  It would be nice if everyone wore a school shirt.  Everyone should bring a sack lunch.  Visit www.sciowa.org for more information about the Science Center.
    Please sign and return the permission form by Wednesday, May 14.  I need to know how many adults are going by May 16.

    Grades 4-8 will be going to Kennedy Park on Monday, May 19.  We will need some drivers and chaperones.  More information will be coming home this week.

     Congratulations to Carter Waddell!  She is the first one to reach the 100 mile goal.

          Thank you to all who helped with the musical.  We had people who helped make props, donated costumes and supplies, typed and copied the program, developed the power point, and made cookies.  THANK YOU !

     We have been growing various vegetables in our classroom.  Mr. Glen Emery, regional specialist for Thrivent, donated some gro-lights, so the plants are doing well.  On Wednesday, April 23, we are going to make them into a salad for lunch.  We are also ordering pizza, so pupils should bring $1.00 to help pay for the pizza.  They should also bring a drink.
