School students are at the head of the anti-war movement, we have organised walkouts, demonstrations and meetings in and outside our schools to show Bush and Blair that he is wrong. we organise our own demonstrations, our own meetings, we are showing the world how we can stop war.
History ahs shown how we can stop wars, remember Vietnam when millions across the world took to the streets. the largest ever anti-Vietnam-war demo in Belfast was in its hundreds. before the war on Iraq started over 15,000 people demonstrated. When the war started a further 1,500 school students demonstrated and occupied roads in Belfast and Derry.
We have to prepare for any other attempts Bush will make. He wants a war against Syria, Iran, North Korea, Cuba...
Put simply, SAW is a group with one aim: we want to stop war. We allow groups and individuals to get on board and help create a movement in the schools never seen before on the understanding of mutual acceptance of each others ideas and the understanding that everyone wants to stop the war.
We also stand for a united anti-war movement bringing together all school and youth groups under a broad umbrella. We want to make
history and not just be taught it!
