School runs take a great chunk out of each day - time that not all parents have free.   
   There is an alternative to doing it yourself. Minders, a family run business of registered childminders, set up School-Runs five years ago to help busy professionals who needed to be at work during the school rush hour.
   Minders have a small fleet of 7-seater vehicles providing a secure door to door service for children to and from a wide range of local independent schools including Dulwich College, JAGS and JAPS, Alleyn's, Sydenham High, Virgo Fidelis, Oakfield and Herne Hill Prep.
It's a personal service and the kids we taxi have grown up with us for the last five years, so space only becomes available when they are grown up enough to take the train, walk or drive.
   Prices start from as little as £5 a journey, and if there is space, short notice pick-ups can also be arranged. For more information, call 07831 469 434
