So, because you are lukewarm --- neither hot nor cold --- I am about to spit you out of my mouth.  (Rev. 3:16)

The apostle John described the church at Laodicea as neither hot nor cold. They were lukewarm. They claim themselves as believers, yet they are indifferent to God in their daily living.  

What about us? When we profess our faith in Jesus, are we lukewarm as well?  When we pray, is our praying a mere obligation? We attend church and engage in Christian service. Yet, are all of these a matter of routine?  Have we lost our first love, the zeal we had when we began our spiritual journey? 

If our hearts are not aflame for God, how can we shine for Him?

Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?  (Psalm 85:6)
