Welcome to Scared of School

Welcome from the two founders of this site, Rosie and Lisa. Thanks for visiting Scared of School. This is a site for children/teenagers who are scared of school for various reasons, or anyone who has been affected by the fear of school. We looked everywhere for a support group or a website about school anxiety but we couldn't find much. So we decided to make our own, so people like us would know they weren't alone. We must stress that although we have information on bullying, home education - that's not what this site is about. This site is about the fear of school and it's for those who've been affected by that.

The term 'school phobia' is used throughout this website. We know the definition of a phobia means an abnormal or irrational fear but we are in no way implying that. Please don't take any offence at the term as none was/is meant.
