here in Victoria,
We came to the conclusion that Cat Parents,
have very few resources in place,
to help them with the 'day-to-day' issues
which, inevitably happen while
sharing their lives with Cats.
We will try to compile a data base, to help you!

As owners and breeders we have ALL had our run-ins with this incredibly EVIL enemy!!
Dr Neils Pedersen wrote to me recently, and he STRONGLY suggested that we all help, to get behind this research. I have been touched by this disease. I know that we ALL have!! In the past we had little or no resources in place to help our kitty parents, to deal with this devastation.
NOW WE WILL ALL HAVE HOPE!!!
I STRONGLY SUPPORT SOCKFIP and the work that Dr. Pedersen has been doing, for such a very long time, at The University of California, U.C. Davis
"What is FIP?"
"Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is an infectious disease that kills one in 100 cats throughout the U.S. The incidence is five to ten times greater among young cats coming from catteries and shelters and is the major cause of abdominal fluid (Ascites), intraocular and neurologic inflammatory disease in cats under 3-5 years of age. FIP is virtually 100% fatal and there is no prevention. The emotional toll of FIP is especially great because it strikes suddenly - weeks, months and even years after initial infection. Therefore, cat lovers usually experience the disease long after they have developed strong emotional bonds with their pet."http://www.sockfip.com/fip.html

Pheromones are extremely widespread in the animal kingdom and
are used to communicate between members of the same species.
Thus, the pheromones given off by one individual can affect and change
the behaviour of other individuals of the same species.
They can also influence territorial marking, scratching, aggression, etc.

When A Kitty Has
Stopped Eating or
JUST FEELS CRAPPY!!!
FIRST ...TALK TO YOUR VET!
WE HAVE BEEN USING
NUTRI-CAL
FOR THIRTY YEARS
TO HELP KEEP THEM FROM FADING FURTHER!!!
One inch, three times a day!
“While low blood sugar is not something we observe in kittens very often, Nutri-Cal is a routine part of the experienced cat breeder's medical bag as it is essential in maintaining the caloric needs of a cat or kitten who is not eating, especially due to illness.”
"High calorie dietary supplement provides extra energy and nutrition in an easily digested, great tasting gel. The veterinary standard for appetite stimulation. Provides complete balanced nutrition to help pets stay happy, healthy and energetic. Nutri-Cal is an energizer for all seasons."
WE GET OURS ONLINE!!! We always keep this in our emergency cabinate!
http://www.revivalanimal.com/store/p/646-Nutri-Cal.aspx?&
It is also available at Bosleys on Burnside, and also at Petcetera!!!

For VERY NAUGHTY!!! Kitties!! LOL!
STUDPANTS 101 !!!
http://www.freewebs.com/scaatycat/apps/webstore/

Jimmy showing off his new
"Spiderman" pants
Our boys are never caged.
We love them far too much,
to cage them after they mature.
My Gentlemen Cats all wear Studpants!
Jimmy Buffet has over a dozen pairs
just for himself.
This concept takes COMMITMENT!
I change his pants 3 or 4 times a day,
and they are washed daily.
These Pants are also great for, bladder incontinence in kitties.
We use very slim and thin, overnight sanitary napkins, for absorption.
I cut them into three. This size works for males.
I cut in half for the girls.
We change them, as often as they become soiled.
If you are 'sewing machine challenged' I do occasionally sell stud pants.. contact me by email... spirals333@msn.com
Svelte & Dainty... $14.00.. 3 - 5 lbs
'Right On' Average... $15.00.. 5 - 7 lbs
Butterball Size... $16.00.. 7 - 10 lbs with a 'Jelly Belly'
Rotund & Portly... $18 - $20.... 9 - OH MY GOSH!! lbs.

For Cat Nutritional Ideas
Our mature show cats, are fed a
'grain free' diet.
We use Innova Evo Kibble,
and Evo and Innova Flex canned foods, made by Natura.
Our adult 'stay at home. breeder kitties, eat
Natural Balance for Cats & Kittens. It contains
NO Fractured or partial grains!
Our younger kitties are fed a mixture of
California Natural and Natural Balance
and
Innova (grain free) canned products.
We also try to incorporate
raw products into our feeding.
Our raw, commercially made products of choice,
are, Natures Variety
We use Rabbit, Beef, Goat, Bison, and Lamb.
We use 'Missing Link' when we are
feeding only muscle meat.
Always remember to handle ALL RAW MEAT with extreme care!
Just because it is for a pet, does not mean that, it can be handled poorly!
USE COMMON SENSE!
We never feed raw meat to any, immune threatened, or sick kitty.
We never feed raw fowl, to any pregnant, immune deficient, or very young kitty!
We also feed 18% & 30% Organic Cream,
plus whole Yoghurt.
The higher the fat value of the cream, the better!
Remember, a mother cat has extremely, high fat values in their milk.
AFTER ALL...THEY ARE NOT A COW!!!
Your regular 3.25% & 2% cows milk, is like 'liquid plumber to a cat
More kittens will develop the poops, from low fat (less than 18%) cows milk, than any other food.
Many vets still believe that, these kitties are lactose intolerant.
It is our belief, that in many cases, it is not necessarily the lactose in the milk, which causes the issue, but the lack of proper levels of fat!
Mammals drink milk....
Their mothers milk!
Millrun animal feed grains, particularly corn & fractured grains,
and, lower grade meat products,
have no place, in a diet for cats!
The cat is an apex prediter
and an obligate carnivore!
All of our diets are made
from product used for
human consumption
(some are Certified Organic..which is even better!!).
All of the Dry and
Canned Foods
we feed are

We endorse the use of Clay Litters.
We have great respect for the corona virus research done by Dr.Addie of Scotland. She has discovered just how well Fowlers earth destroys the bacteria left in litter boxes. This research has changed our views about clay litter!!
We use Costco Litter!!!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
FOR OUR BABIES....
We Use The
BEST Alternative KITTY LITTER
IN THE WORLD!!!!
CHECK OUT THEIR BREEDER PROGRAM!
you think a scoopable litter has to be loaded with clay and chemicals to clump and control odor, you’re in for a surprise! Swheat Scoop® litter is made from naturally processed wheat, which means it’s clay free, chemical free, fragrance free and biodegradable. Mouse around here a while, and we think you’ll agree -- this litter is naturally better.
We use a thin layer of 'pan-coat'
(for frying & baking!!)
under our litter..
WOW! It works like crazy.
