Welcome to the official web site of the San Benito Southern Railroad. The SBSRR is a private garden railroad but it does open for tours about twice a year.

The SBSRR serves the towns of Tres Pinos and Grizzly Flats.  It consists of two main lines and a street car line in the town of Tres Pinos. Trains start at The Tres Pinos depot.

They then travel up a 4.5 percent grade and loop around over a trestle and then over Nivek Bridge which was named for the explorer Dr. Robert Bridge. The train then heads down

grade through Dark Creek Canyon and past the Dark Creek Sawmill.  The train then pulls into Grizzly Flats. After leaving Grizzly Flats the train goes around Drunken Morrison Curve

and heads back up grade around Snake Curve and over Tres Pinos Bridge. The train then heads down grade and pulls into the Tres Pinos train station.
