Sowerby Bridge and Distric Ladies Swimming Club is an independent club and has been running since bjgbs. The club runs once a week on a tuesday evening. It is a club which aims to encourage and develop the swimming of both children and adults. It is run by a committee, which meets every month to ensure the smooth running of the club. All members of the committee and the teachers are volunteers. There are currently three teachers who all have ASA Level 2 swimming teachers qualification. These teachers currently coach three different levels of swimmers. These range from complete beginners, intermediates to advanced swimmers.

The swimming club has currently achieved the ASA Swim 21 Silver award.
