You can do as I did, and just dive in, but reading this page will save you trouble and headaches down the road. Getting yourself set up before you start completing offers will pay off huge amounts in the end!!! There are a few things you need before you get started in order to make the most free money.
1. E-mail
Now unless your one of those strange people who like getting spam, you're going to want to set up an e-mail account for filling out offers. Each offer will require a new e-mail address, so unless you want to spend your life setting up new e-mail accounts, I'd recommend using Gmail. Gmail allows you to add a period (.) to your e-mail, allowing you to have hundreds of e-mail address all received in one box. For example, say your e-mail address is:

All of these will be received in your original box - which is important for offers you have to confirm!!! This gives you multiple addresses all with one log in and one box. Don't forget to keep track of which e-mail addresses you have used. You will not get credit for offers if you use the same one twice.
2. Phone Number
Same thing as with e-mail, you're going to want a phone number you can use to fill out offers. My first recommendation is GrandCentral. GrandCentral is a free service that will give you a free phone number in your area code - messages can be send directly to your inbox!
K7 is another highly recommended phone service, however all their numbers are in the 206 area code and some offers match the area code to the zip code. These messages are also sent directly to your e-mail where you can listen at your convenience.
Important Note: Use your regular phone number when you are first signing up with a GPT site. Many GPT sites use telephone verification to help reduce fraud. You must provide them with a number that you can answer immediately and punch in the code that you are given.
3. Browsers
Let's talk about browsers. I usually use Firefox for everything except Brandarama offers (they only credit in Internet explorer - don't even ask me why...
One of the best browsers to use on these sites is FireFox. It even has this wonderful little extension that you can download here that will allow you clean the cookies for each site you visit.
Note: It is important that you have cookies enabled or you will not get credit for your offers. To make sure you have them enabled, click on Tools in the menu bar and then choose Options. In the window that pops up, click on Privacy. Make sure the check box next to “Accept cookies from site” is checked. Also make sure you have it set for Keep Cookies until they expire. After you have completed an offer, leave the final window and any pop-ups open for 2 to 5 minutes. This gives the advertiser time to track back your information so you receive credit for your offers. Check your e-mail, walk your dog, get a cup of java, whatever, then come back and close the window and CLEAN YOUR COOKIES before starting the next offer. Which brings me to...
4. CCleaner
This is a marvelous program that your can run that will automatically clean all your cookies. You can download it for free by clicking here.
5. Roboform
This is another one of those GENIUS programs that will fill out your forms automatically. Simply enter your name, address, phone number - but not e-mail, remember, you're going to want to use a new e-mail address each time. You can download it for free here.
6. Getting Paid
Oh gosh - I almost forgot the most important part - how to get paid!!! Most sites pay by paypal or check. I always worry that my mail carrier is going to lose my check so I usually go with paypal. It's free to sign up, you can use the money online, with a paypal debit card, or transfer it directly into your bank account.
