I think God has already answered so much prayer in this crisis, but lets not forget the victums, the firefighters, law enforcement, National Guard, and so many volunteers. In the 2003 fires it took years to recover and due to these fires it may take just as long.

Prayer request for my mom, Dianne.  She had knee replacement surgery on Sep. 14, and has not been doing well with her recovery. She tore her rotator cuff in her right shoulder trying to get out of the bed soon after the surgery, got pneumonia and she had to have a blood transfusion last week. She is also being monitored for her heart problems and diabetes.  Physical therapy has been started, but with all of the set-backs, it is not to the point the doctors had hoped for.

On Monday, Sep. 24, she had a stroke.  Thankfully it wasn’t too bad, but she has lost her ability to speak and her comprehension level is still being determined.  

Please pray for my family and trust in God that He is in control!  Please pray for my strength and for a way to make it possible for me to be with her as much as I can.  She is at Pomona Valley Hospital.  Please pray for the staff at the hospital.  The RN’s hit the picket line today and “scabs” are trying to take care of the patients. This makes it even harder for the consistency of her care to be steady, along with not having her own ability to express her needs.

Matt and I lost our baby boy on Tuesday (6/19) and it is more painful than either of us ever imagined.  We were at 20 weeks.  We went in to find out the sex of our little one and our lives were changed forever.  There were no signs of any complications.  The doctor found something that didn't look right and the next evening we gave birth to an 11 in, 10.8 oz baby boy.  
 
Please keep us in your prayers.  We are having a grave side service tomorrow morning at 10 am in Pocahontas, AR.  Pray that we can continue, like Job, praising God through whatever life throws our way.

Tammy Durbin's grandmother died yesterday morning (5/4/07), and Tammy and her husband Jody are driving up to Oklahoma this morning, can everyone please pray for their return, and pray for Tammy to impact her family during this time. ... Julie

In light of the horrible events of today (4/16) at Virginia Tech's campus, I have received many calls and messages of concern so I just wanted to let everyone know a few things that I hope you can pass on locally or to your church and friends,

ALL OF THE CHRISTIANS FROM OUR MINISTRY WHO ARE STUDENTS AT VIRGINIA TECH ARE ACCOUNTED FOR AND SAFE. WE ARE DEEPLY SADDENED BY THE LOSS OF THOSE WHO DIED.

Please pray for the families who have lost their loved ones. And please pray for our campus ministry and our church to be some kind of light in this dark time, By faith we can hope and pray that God will work good through it as the scriptures promise. Please pass this on to as many as needed and feel free to contact me if necessary. I will try to keep everyone updated.

 Darlin Whitman was hit by a car April 11th while walking. She is in the hospital stable. Pray for her quick recovery, so she can get back to being an awesome mother of two.

Pray for the Xuan family. The mother Ngyen just died of a rare cancer un-expectantly. Leaving her children orphaned. Her husband died 7 years ago and now they are in the care of the grandparents. They were good friends of Eve Leon-Torres.

Can you please pray for my next door neighbor and her family? Her name is Terri and her youngest daughter is Deanna.  Her oldest daughter (Araceli Granados) was found murdered last Sunday, April 1^st 2007 morning near the Donavon prison. This was in the news last week and still is. The family is really going through a tough time right now and could use a bunch of prayers for strength and justice.

 Liberty Woods requests prayers for her friend, Vicki Moore. Vicki was diagnosed with brain cancer at Thanksgiving last year. The doctors have done all they can do at this point. Vicki's family is requesting prayers for Vicki's health and strength for the family. Vicki has two young children.

Tammy Durbin's grandmother that was hospitalized took a turn for the worse during the night (March 19th), and is having trouble breathing, if everyone could please pray for her, Tammy would appreciate it. Her grandmothers name is Mary Peirce.

Let us keep praying for Pete Gonzalez and Paul Chacon as they recover from their surgeries. Pray for complete recovery and health.

Also lets pray for the Oliver family. Sonya's grandmother passed away last weekend and they are away at her funeral.

Let us be praying for our brother Paul Chacon. He has been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and will undergo a thyroidectomy on Friday morning (March 9th).

Here's a picture of Pete saying hi to everyone. He just wanted to thank everyone for the prayers. He is now trying to recover so that he can come home to his boys soon. Please continue to pray for him, his results of his biopsy will be available in a couple of days. We are praying it was not cancer. Once again, thank you for your love and support.

Dear Families

Last night we lost a wonderful member of our community. Shawna Davis, mother of Bailee and Jacob passed away following heart surgery. Shawna always had a smile on her face and a kind word. Many of you have expressed a desire to help out in some way. This is such a difficult time for the family. They ask that, for now we respect their privacy and limit visits and phone calls.

Dolores Morales wishes us to pray for her son-in-law Angel, his health isnt good at this time Please pray also for Judy Oliver, an awesome volunteer at the Norman Park Center who has started radiation treatments for breast cancer.

I (Ed) went to the doctor today (FEB6) to see about my right hand. For three weeks it has slowly been acting up and been consistently painful. This morning the pain was unbearable. There's a lot of speculation as to what it is (stress fracture, carpal tunnel, etc.). I had some tests run today including an X-ray and an MRI (or something like that).  I don't wanna get anybody worried cause there's a chance that I've just been overworking it.  I am a bit worried, however, as my right hand is VERY important to me. Please pray that whatever it is, that it's short-term and can be corrected with relative ease. By the way I'm typing this with my left hand - LOL!

I am requesting prayer for my cousin's, grandson, Carlos Don who is 12 years old, he is medically induced coma at Children's Hospital for a rare bacterial infection. The Family is asking for public Blood donations given in the name (Carlos Don, at Children's Hosp) .Thank you for all your prayers and support.

The family said that Carlos needs plasma and platelets, so all blood types are needed. Anybody who wants to make a donation should call the San Diego Blood Bank and specify that the donation is for Carlos Don.

January 11th it is our burden to communicate some sad news: Mrs Julia Jimenez, mother of Angel Jimenez (who leads the church in Belize City), passed away yesterday in Mexico City. She was a faithful disciple of Christ, therefore we are comforted by God’s promise that she has just passed to a better life with our Lord. Our hearts and prayers go out to Angel and his wife, Fatima, and his family in Mexico. If you want to send a note of encouragement you can write to them at belizeicoc@yahoo.com

Donna's sister will likely give birth early. She is at her 7 month in pregnancy. Please pray for the health of the baby and the health of her sister, Maria. May God give the whole family strength.

Many of the young adults (young teen/ teens) seem so distant from God or the desire to learn about Him. It is especially scary because they are growing up so fast and are already involved in worldly dating. We need to love them and help them to become attracted to the Faith. It would be a sad thing to try and reach the world and lose our youth.
