Brothers & Sisters,

We are at a decisive point in our union.  By now, we have all read about Thompson and Marceau’s misrepresentations to the UTU members.  Using a massive, slick PR campaign, they managed to convince some members that the merger would be beneficial, but now we know the truth.

The merger agreement to create SMART requires that the UTU membership approve the SMART Constitution.  Thompson and Marceau have refused to provide the SMART Constitution to us.  Why are we, the dues-paying members of this organization, intentionally kept in the dark? It is not too late to make this right.  We still have a brief window of opportunity to save the UTU.  A case has been filed in Federal Court in East St. Louis, IL to ask for an injunction to stop the SMART merger from becoming effective on January 1, 2008.

We need YOUR donations to help cover legal costs.  Large or small, whatever you can give will help. To download and print form to send your donation Click here donationform.pdf and please pass this information and request for donations to as many UTU members as you can.
