This is a fur seal. Cute, isn't it...Well, in Canada, 975,000 of these creatures will be brutally beaten to death in the next three years.

Up to 40 % of all seals killed were skinned alive. While the animals were conscious!!! The Canadian government not only lets this inhumane hunt proceed, but it actively supports the seal hunt. When the seal hunters exceed their quota in 2002, the canadian government increased the quota for the years to come, thus condemning 3 seals to death every two minutes.

Working with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), our charity aims to inform the English public about the mismanagement and inhumane activities being carries out in Canada, namely: the Seal Hunt. Whilst the HSUS actively heads up the war against this unnecessary slaughter, our objective is to provide people with the education and means to try and make a difference themselves.

Whereas the humane society deals with many different cases, we only deal with this particular problem, because we feel that this problem is too grave to only recieve half of our attention.
