Hello and welcome to my little cheap website I designed to hopefully help my cause. My name is Jim, and 2004 has been a terrible year. Let me tell you a little bit about me. I am a very nice and caring man, and love to help others, but on the same note I don’t make it a habit of asking for help, unless I am at the end of my resources, and I think the time is here that I have reached the end of my resources.
After spending 16 yrs in the Aerospace industry I got laid off in Sept 2003, then in March 2004 had open heart bypass surgery. The right artery was 90% plugged, and they found it after I went in for a routine physical. The doctors told me I would have never had any symptoms, I would have either just fell over dead, or not woke up one morning. Anyway I am fine, but do to this, I cannot get health insurance for either me or my wife, and my wife has Fibromyalgia.
FMS (fibromyalgia syndrome) is a widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder for which the cause is still unknown. Fibromyalgia means pain in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons – the soft fibrous tissues in the body.
Do to this disease she had to quite her teaching job in 2003 after 14 years, because she could not take the pain and fatigue it left her with at the end of the day.
We finally managed to find some CHEAP health insurance, but it has no prescription card, so do to the high cost of her Fibro medication, she cannot take it as often as she needs to.
I am still trying to find work, but do to my medical layoff from aircraft it has been almost impossible to find work. My wife has found 2 part time jobs that pay just above poverty level, but do not make health insurance available since these are only part time jobs. I do odd jobs like mow a yard or so when I can to make some money, but these jobs are few and far between.
This is where I need the help of all the kind folks in the world. During this time, I have pilled up $43,219 in debt through credit cards. This was due to a 5 day stay in the hospital for heart surgery, and with no insurance at the time, well lets just say someone had to pay for this, and that person is me. So with not having a dime in savings, I figured the credit card way was the way to go, and worry about that bill later.
Well later is here, and I am making payments, but the debt is not going away fast enough, cause with what little money is coming in it is going to other bills, medicine, and of course food.
So if you feel my pain and have an extra buck or two, please send it my way!

I will have a weekly update page, so you can see my debt decreasing in size with the help of all the kind people in the world.
So you ask, what’s in it for you? Well basically nothing, except that warm fuzzy feeling you get for helping a fellow human being out.
Now one last thing, I am not setting this site up to get rich, write a book about my debt problem, or be seen on Good Morning America, or the National news. I am not doing this for the attention, I am doing it to get myself out of debt, once that happens, this site will be closed down, and replaced with a thank you page for me to list all the people that were kind enough to help me out!
Please remember, that anyone from any walk of life can end up in debt before they know it! Credit cards are very bad, and are quite tempting to use, especially when we get so many offers a week for 0% interest. I have now cut up all my credit cards, and it is cash from here on out.
I believe that everything goes around in this lifetime, you help someone, and some day you may need the help yourself, and that person that you helped once, maybe the same person that helps you when your crisis arises.
UPDATE: On Nov 22 2004, I returned from the hospital after having open heart surgery again, the bypass did not hold, so they had to open me up and do the bypass again. Today Dec 9, 2004 I got the bill from the hospital, and even though I have picked up some real cheap insurance I had another $15,113 added on to my current debt prediciment. With Christmas approaching fast I just dont know what are family is going to do.
There already has been so many generous and kind people to help me out so far and I appreciate it a lot! Shows the true meaning of Christmas.
