Notes:

- This movies, unless stated otherwise, are recorded on a improved version of Snes9x v1.43. Download the classic windows version Snes9x v1.43-improvement9 to playback the movies without errors/desyncs. The movies are tool assisted which means that slowdowns and rerecords are used to avoid all possible errors and mistakes in the game.

- Make sure you have the right ROM-version

- Make sure you have unziped the movie file (.smv file)

- Read the "readme.txt" for some info

To playback the movies just run Snes9x v1.43-improvement9, open the correct rom, go to "Movie Replay", select the movie (.smv file) and press OK. Don't change any Sync-Settings since the correct ones are stored in the moviefiles. You can also compare your ROM-version with the one used in the movie to find out if it matches.

Secret of Evermore
Recorded in August 15th, 2005
I started this project in 7th March 2005 and finally completed it after almost a half year of very hard work! As a reward this is the by far most optimized and best movie I ever did. I completed the game at sensational 2 hours and 4 min. It is a 100% walkthrough in which I got at least 1 of every possible item, spell, armor etc. Furthermore I have completed all possible sidequests and beated all possible bosses. For those who know Secret of Evermore this movie is more than a must to see. For the complete project-history, all informations and progress reports during the moviemaking click here.

Download the complete run (.smv file) and see the comments on this project at my TASvideos submission!
There is also a video-file (.avi format) available of the entire movie. Get it here!

Also if you need some savestates download this zip. It contains a savestate at the beginning of every World (Antiqua, Gothica and Omnitopia) so you can playback the movie of them on pleasure without watching the whole run from beginning.

Super Street Fighter 2 - The New Challengers
Recorded in February 27th, 2005
This is a 8 Star Super Battle walkthrough using Ken and beat all opponents in a very impressed and different way. Ken has good conditions to make nice combos because of his multiple Shoryuken (Dragon Punch) and his Hurricane Kick. A very good Ken performance!

There is also a AVI-file available here.

Want to know a bit more about SSF2 hero Zangief? This is a 8 Star Super Battle walkthrough using Zangief and also beat all opponents in a very impressed and different way. Zangief has in my opinion the most versatile fighting style and also many different combo possibilities like no other fighter in this game, even if it don't looks like that. He has 10 different throws (yes, you read it right) which look very cool and make a interesting watch. This movie is slightly improved to the Ken-version depending on the techniques I used here. Many counter hits, stunning combos, hard throws, great bonebreakers and good ass kicking. The best Zangief Run on the net!

AVI-File available here.

Skill-Based Movies

Sim City
Recorded in February 19th, 2005
This movie shows how to build a Megametropolis of more than 500000 population (the highest goal in the game) in a very fast time, got it in April 1904! Of course I had to use the money-glitch to get 999999$ in order to reach this goal that fast. Perfect Planning of the City and nice tricks to get some Gifts at the needed times make this movie worth a check.

Super Mario Kart

This movie shows how to win all 4 cups in a row on 100cc pretty clear without any repeats. It shows many great shortcuts and good driving strategies in every course to keep the lead most of the time! This movie was recorded live in one sitting.

Super Metroid

Version 7 - This is a skill-based, single-segmented any% speedrun of this platform-classic, that was recorded live in one sitting without any use of slowdowns, savestates, or turbo-buttons. It completes the entire game in only 0:37!

This is a somewhat cleaner version with the 2 major errors of the previous 0:38 run fixed. Although it has another screw up (I had to retry the Lower Norfair pillar shinespark 3 times), it was still enough to hold 0:37 due to many successful speed tricks that were performed in other parts of the run. Also Ridley was managed much better this time, despite the very low and dangerous health conditions before the fight. A must see for those who like short any% runs!

Note: This movie is recorded on Snes9x v1.51.

This is my 5th attempt of a single-segmented 100% speedrun, recorded live in one sitting without any slowdowns, savestates or turbo buttons. After huge improvements over the last attempts (3rd = 1:03, 4th = 1:01) I finally managed to break the 1 hour mark the first time ever and got a 0:59!

The highlights of this run are probably the boss fights. I got the quick kill on Kraid, 3-round Phantoon, a excellent Draygon fight with alot of damage from the shinespark technique, and a pretty good Ridley fight. On top of that I managed to perform many difficult speed tricks as well (although there are also a few fails typically for a single-segmented run). Definitely one of the best skill-based Super Metroid runs I ever did, and probably the first single-segmented 100% run ever done to beat the game in less than an hour. Don't miss it!

Note: This movie is recorded on Snes9x v1.51.

Version 2 - This is a very special run, beating the entire game without collecting either the Varia, nor the Gravity Suit at all! That means you have to pass Maridia with very limited and massively slowed down move possibilities due to the water, and especially Norfair and Lower Norfair under constant energy loss during the heat even when fighting bosses like Ridley. Because of this hard conditions, the suitless run is one of the most difficult playthrough forms one can do in Super Metroid. Nevertheless I managed to finish the entire game in only 1:04!

The entire run was played in realtime and without any tool-assistance such as savestates, slowdowns or turbo-buttons at all. Due to the enormous difficulty I had to record it in 7 segments using the save stations available in the game, just like in a console run. As of now, this is the fastest unassisted suitless run that is available on the net. A must see!

Note: This movie is recorded on Snes9x v1.51.

Super Street Fighter 2 - The New Challengers
Recorded in April 30th, 2007
A excellent and very diversified Super Battle playthrough on max difficulty with Guile, recorded unassisted in one sitting. Passing all 12 fights dominantly and clearly without a single loss. Guile (who is one of my favourites) is the only fighter who has almost no cooldown after his shots (sonic booms), and this allows him to pull off some crazy hard-hit killer combos no other fighter is capable of. This combos got well executed plently of times in this run, and in rare cases allowed me to turn some apparently lost fights and still win them. A flawless Guile run which is a must see for SSF2 fans, or those who want to learn new tricks with Guile!

Unassisted Super Battle playthrough on max difficulty with Ryu, recorded in one sitting. This movie shows excellent techniques to win every fight pretty solid and quickly without a single loss. Ryu fans shouldn't miss this one!

Terranigma
Recorded in November 6th, 2005
This is my first any-% speedrun for this game. It was recorded single-segmented in one long sitting without any tools or turbo buttons. I reached a in-game time of 4 hours and 34 minutes at the last savepoint before the final boss. Since I haven't recorded a any-% speedrun before I had some problems to find the best route after I got my ship to only take the absolute necessary things. I did some minor detours because of the lack of experience in this mode but all in all the run is really well done, check it out!

This movie has a very special and thrilling final boss (Dark Gaia) fight. I decided to battle him with a suicidal low level (30) and during the battle I realized that I run out of Bulbs to heal myself. And since I would need months to defeat him with my best equipment, I would most likely die because of his permanent unavoidable lightbeam. I had no choice but to change my best Armor into one that sacrifices a lot of my defense and max. HP in order to increase my strength and this was like playing russian roulette. One hit of Dark Gaia's normal attacks would take me more than 180! HP of my poor 220 that I had left in total. I had very much luck to still defeat this boss without any Healing-Bulbs left at all! Damn was this a thrill.

Note: I forgot to press the action button one last time to progress the last dialog before cancelling the movie-recording so just hit it yourself to see the full ending.
