Hi My name is Jessica Burzminski . I am 15 years old (May 22, 1991) and have been showing dogs since the age of 4. I was very honored to represent Saskatchewan for the second year in a row at the Canadian Nationals held this year in Winnipeg, Manitoba in August. Last year at the Canadian Nationals in Sudbury , Ontario I received the first ever Sportsmanship Award. It was so very nice that all my fellow Juniors voted for me and I Thank them all.
I am the third Generation in our family to show dogs. My Grandma Donna Lewis of Donayne Reg'd started showing in 1976. Grandma had some of the Top Winning ML Dachshunds in the 80's and some of the Top winning Keeshonds in Canada and US in the 90's. My mother, Penny Lewis (Bretica Reg'd) is an All Breed Professional Handler in Canada and has been showing dogs since she was 4. She was one of Saskatchewan’s Top Juniors in the 1980's. I have learned allot from my Grandma and my mom and I am very happy that Grandma picked this wonderful sport to hand down to her children and grandchildren.
I am starting Highschool ( grade 9) in September. I play many different sports such as Basketball, Volleyball and Football. When I graduate Highschool I would love to go to University and study to be a Marine Biologist.
I want to thank my family, Jenna Cruthers, Ellen Stomp, Shannon Scheer and everyone else that has supported me in Junior Handling. I love the interaction with all the dogs I get to show and the people I get to meet. I love to have fun in and out of the ring. I learn something new every time I enter the ring and I hope to learn more as the years go by. I have shown and cared for numerous breeds of dogs but as of last October my mom finally bought me my own dog , “Billi” Whippet Ch. Brushwoods She B Smokin’. I recently won the Hound Group with Billi at the Regina Dogshow in June of 2005 and I look forward to showing her in Juniors and the all breed shows as much as possible in the future.
I look forward to many years of meeting some new faces in the Junior ring and seeing all my friends from the past years. Good Luck to all in their Junior Handling Years...these are the best years of our lives!

Nathan Porterfield will start in Pee Wee this year after his fourth birthday in April. Nathan is a busy preschooler who enjoys skating, gymnastics and playing with his dogs. His favorite dog, and the dog he plans to show, is Riker - our 11.5 year old flat-coated retriever. Riker is a retired show dog and adores Nathan so the two of them will be a good pair. Watch for them in the Pee Wee ring after April!

My name is Jennifer Marie Fabrik I am 13 years old (Nov. 22, 93) and live near Humboldt Saskatchewan. My mom and I breed and show German shepherds and Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I received my first dog at the age of three (a sheltie) but started showing dogs at the age of nine. I have since received multiple firsts, seconds, and third place rosettes. I had the opportunity to participate in the 2003 provincial finals, then in the 2005 provincial finals I was awarded reserve overall. Since then I have pointed and/or finished Championships on many of our German Shepherds as well as our Corgis and helped finish a corgi for a friend. I hope to continue showing dogs for many years to come.
