This model is a fusion of ideas combining many features previously used with great success. It is most easily described as a higher aspect ratio WILDTHING 46 (the root chord having been reduced). The result of these changes is a model that is both more responsive in pitch and slightly faster. As a consequence it will have more appeal to the experienced modeller, though it is virtually as easy to fly as a WILDTHING making it suitable for a novice as a first model on reduced throws. The fin shape has been changed to make it more compact and distinguishable from the ubiquitious WILDTHING, though the kit includes both types of fin so that the modeller can choose the one that has most appeal to him.
Three of the models were extensively tested throughout the winter of 2006/7, a lot of flying being dynamically soaring in our locally poor conditions where the downwind sweetspot is very close to the ground with the consequence that all three models have successfully survived many high speed crashes which bears testament to their survivability.
It fully complies with the BMFA combat rules and exceeds their requirements by having protected servo arms, push rods and control horns as well as a fuselage that also makes it easier to hold on a quick relaunch.
We have gone further than the reduction in material costs by introducing the model at only £49.95, a price we intend to keep until the end of the summer of 2007.
Yet another tough rugged survivor from the SAS hanger that is a satisfying challenge to fly!
Fuse your talents with this models potential for great flying sessions!!.
