This limited edition model one will set the cat amongst the pidgeons!!

When asked ‘What stays up best?, it used to be easy - the one with the largest wing  area, until we introduced the VENOM-LITE. I have always liked the challenge of  staying up when others cannot, but there are times when a ‘normal’ epp model  cannot compete with the lightweight floaters. I do not just like to stay up, I like to be  able to do something with the model. So I made a lightweight version of the VENOM.

We achieved an eight ounce weight reduction by :-

Using one carbon fibre spar instead of three..
Eliminating the fuselage (but takes away the protection for the  servo arms, push  rods and control horns).
Limiting the use of crossweave tape to 1” and only in essential places.
As a result of the above savings behind the centre of gravity, only a 4 AAA cell  square pack is necessary
A total saving of over 8 ounces, and still using standard servos!!.

It was satisfyting when four of us were flying in formation along the clifftops, while the  seagulls were flapping beneath us.

It was satisfying on our local slope thermalling away when the only other models that  could stay up were electric.

It is satisfying doing rolling circles whilst others are struggling to stay up.

It is difficult to resist the temptation to fly in 20 knot plus winds just because it can.

It is difficult to resist flying it in combat because it complies with the rules, and you  have a distinct advantage in poor lift conditions.

See ‘kit contents page’ for further details..

Save it for those balmy summer evenings when the wind drops off and you can chat  with your fellow pilots whilst gently flying in formation,  nonchalently soaring to  greater heights or flying aerobatically whilst they are struggling to stay up - save  money too, its the cheapest model in our range.
