i feel at home at a festival. not because there's lots of bands and other entertainment. not because it's an excuse to party and get off your face. because of the friendliness, the chilled vibe, the openess. i have talked, laughed, swapped ideas with so many more people at festivals than anywhere else. passionate disscussions about politics, music, life with total strangers. and talking shit in the early hours! so many wonderful people some of who i will never meet again and some of who become good friends. i couldn't imagine not going to work at a festie now. it feels great to play a part in bringing the event together.
