Yesterday, Sam paid tribute to the firemen who were killed in WW1 and WW2. He said 'Those firemen were heroes, without them Britain as we know it would not exist. We owe them all.' Sam also proposed to make the Sunday before Rememberance Sunday a memorial day for all firemen killed at war.

Sam and Pat held a press conference in Balamory, a key area of the 51st State, today. Sam promised a Pink Castle for every village and a regular slot on primetime BBC1.

Fireman Sam's running mate postman Pat has denied accusations that he wants to destroy his home town.

'It's a simple misunderstanding,' he said speaking at his local post office yesterday. 'What I said was that I wanted to destroy Greenday, not Greendale. The drummer of Greenday (This writer doesn't know his name. [Doesn't care either]) has called for Pat's resignation.

SAM IN PRESS CONFERENCE:

Sam attended his first press conference today, in Aberiswyth, Wales. When asked about his chance of winning the 2008 election, he said "I think that Pat and I stand a very good chance. We have so far decreased well accidents involving little ginger kids with glasses by 35%, nearly reaching our target on the second day of our campaign."
