Samba Workshops

Welcome to Samba Workshops, the site dedicated to bringing the best of Samba to your place of work, school or club. 

We are based in the North West of England but can travel to anywhere in the country, or indeed to anywhere in the world! 

Samba, of course, is from Brazil, and in Brazil music is everywhere, from the small cafes to the thundering Samba that echoes from the hills of Rio.  Samba is part of the soul of Brazil, and we want to bring that soul and passion directly to you.

Whatever your organisation is, whether it be a school that wants a few hours drumming lessons or a big organisation that wants the full Rio Carnival spectacle, we can provide it for you (see either the "schools" page or the "Corporate" page for details).

We have 11 years experience of working in schools and businesses, youth groups and colleges. Some of our clients include Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts,  Hope University, Liverpool Community College, North Liverpool Academy, Denbighshire Youth service, BT, Unilever, Sysco Systems, Sony, Microsoft, Fox's Confectionary and Innocent Smoothies to name a few.

 The main style of Samba that we teach is called BATUCADA and it is the fastest and most exciting style of Samba that originates from Rio.  It is a style that everyone can get involved with. Even if you think you have absolutely no musical talent we will soon have you playing along to the Samba rythmes of Batucada and you will be surprised at just how quickly you will learn.  In no time at all we will have your whole group drumming and performing to the sounds of the Rio Carnival!
