WOW, it has been awhile since I have wrote, right? I'm sorry about that, but I hope everyone is still on track with Weight Watchers. I do have to admit I had to pay as a Lifetime member this past Thursday since I was over my goal weight. Not fun :( I was over by 2.2 lbs. I was so bummed out. This last 5 lbs came on so quick and will not shed off. I'm tracking and exercising everyday. I have to stay positive though because I know that I can do it. I have lost inches and weight doing Turbo Jam everyday so I'm going to stick with that and tracking everything down. This week has been tough, since I was on a furlough week at work. (Yep, a week off unpaid.) I have taking time for me finally. A couple of day's by the pool just sitting and relaxing with a good book made it so peaceful. The USA will turn 233 next Saturday for the 4th of July. If there's a celebration in your future, whether it's cake and ice cream or a big barbecue cookout, don't let the party go on too long. The best way I've found to get back on track is to write down tonight on what I plan to eat tomorrow, and that may be very challenging since I am going to a spur of the moment concert tomorrow night that was not planned. HAPPY, HEALTHY 4TH! All Weight Watchers meetings will be closed next Saturday for Independence Day so I hope to see Saturday members on Tuesday night. Or make time to attend a meeting at another location. Click here for a list of other meetings you can attend. Just because WW is closed on Saturday doesn't mean you won't be planning for success at the cookout or BBQ, right? So Click here for a list of BBQ favorites, take a little time to plan your meal so you can have fun and not feel guilty for going overboard. Enjoy the fireworks that evening. SMOOTH IDEAS I believe smoothies are on sale right now:) I have fallen back in love with them having one for breakfast each morning. Here are some fun smoothie recipes to try using the French Vanilla or Creamy Chocolate flavors: · Root Beer Float: 1 packet French Vanilla, 8 ounces diet root beer, ice (2 POINTS) · Mocha: 1 packet Chocolate, 1 tsp instant coffee, 8 oz water/ice (1 POINT) · Peanut Butter Cup: 1 packet Chocolate, 1 Tbsp peanut butter, 8 oz. water/ice (3 POINTS) · Peppermint Patty: 1 packet Chocolate, 3-4 drops peppermint extract, 1 cup skim milk, 4 ice cubes (3 POINTS) STOP & THINK: IS IT WORTH IT? It may take 45 minutes of brisk walking to burn off the calories consumed in the 30 seconds it takes to eat two cookies! Ask yourself, “If I had to walk 45 minutes BEFORE eating this, would it be worth it to me?” Before you take that bite, think first! MAKE JULY 4TH KABOOM WITH KABOBS! · Grill fruits or vegetables. When grilling, wrap vegetables in aluminum foil, or use skewers of pineapple, yellow squash, eggplant, nectarines, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, onions, or mushrooms. Place over medium-hot coals for a fun-to-eat and flavorful BBQ treat. · Looking for a fun appetizer when you entertain? Try making spears of fruit by attaching strawberries, grapes, melon slices, or pineapple chunks onto small skewers. Use low-fat or non-fat yogurt for a dip. · Make frozen fruit kabobs using pineapple chunks, bananas, grapes and berries. A tasty and nutritious fruity Popsicle! Enjoy your holiday as we declare our THIN-dependence!
Everyone, Hello there:) How is everyone doing? I miss seeing everyone in the meeting room, but I am doing very good. 5 days of working out and just finished the 2nd workout from Turbo Jam. WOW, sore but energized... relaxing before work tonight. 3-12:30am, I hope I make it. LOL... You may be wondering what Turbo Jam is. Well, it is full of fun and working every part of the body. Plus, I had to invest because I have held back since Leader Training way back in 2007. A girl there that was also training to be a Weight Watchers Leader brought her workout tips, so she had the DVD with her. Everyone went into the room that evening, if they wanted to and just did Turbo Jam. Ever since then, it hasn't left my mind. Thank you Tara for that!!!! I know, I'm not fast right now but each day there is a different DVD that you workout too. I finally invested in it. I am on my 2nd day, and buy do my abs hurt. You can Google it, place bids on Ebay, but if you get tired of getting out bid then just go to the website: http://www.beachbody.com/I'll keep everyone updated. I took measurements and will be going on a strict eating schedule this next week, with still counting points with Weight Watchers of course but paying attention to calorie intake and cutting diet sodas out for about 2 weeks. But, whatever you are doing for exercise keep it going.... Take measurements and a start date with your beginning weight. You'll see results.
